I’m still fearing a cold snap before the end of March, but it may not happen this year. Very nice right now.
When you look at that summary, it looks like it will be rainy, but you have to know Georgia around Atlanta. Our weather typically comes from the Gulf southwest of us or from the west, but it’s usually moist air. Just west and north west of Atlanta there are “mountains.” A lot of you guys would probably call them rolling hills or ant mounds. But they are high enough to jam up the advancing weather a little bit.
So we get warm moist air coming over those mountains, and it settles low over Atlanta, and then when the temperature drops as the day cools off, it turns into showers. That’s happening late evening until about midnight these days. We get a little wet, but nothing to interfere with outdoor activities typically. When the summer rolls around, they can be pretty violent thunderstorms in the late afternoon and early evening.
