good question
I’m putting spotlights on the back of my trucks bumper. How did you guys run the wiring harness from the battery thru the firewall I am putting the switch on the dash.

For a 1/4" hole, use a .22. You get a 3/8" hole with a .38 or 9mm, and use a .45 to get a 1/2" hole.

Or better yet, just poke your wires through the rubber grommet for the speedo cable.

Sounds good I’ll find that tomarrow

For one or two wires, it’s usually easy to push them through an existing grommet alongside the other wires.

We’re is the speedo cable grommet?

I’ve used existing grommets and I’ve drilled holes in convenient spots and just put my own grommet in. I’ve started working towards making things more modular though like the factory wiring but that is because I’ve had to take stuff apart and fix things so I’m shooting for making things easier on myself.

Personally, I’d consider un-pinning the plastic plug and putting the pins back in after getting it through a smaller hole. You have to be a little careful doing that cuz you don’t want to mess up the pins or get them switched around in the plug, but I do electrical a lot and it’s no thing for me.

De-pin it.

If I think if it later this afternoon, I’ll do a short video on that to show you how.

Yeah, you can go there.

Or there's the hood release cable grommet shown here:

Definitely de-pin that wire to run it through, and put it through the rubber, not just beside it.

The clutch pedal cover?
Yeah, you can go there.
