My 04 FX4 is off road not level 2. There are some other things that are different on the Level 2, I can't remember exactly what they are, I thought 1 of the things that are different is the Level 2 didn't come out until after 2004.

There is a chrome ranger fx shifter on ebay right now. I saw it yesterday

The Level 2 came out in 2003. The FX4 Off-Road (non-Level 2) also came out in 2003. The 2002 Off-Road was the original Level 2 but was not called a Level 2.

Also, the 2002 FX4 Off-Road and 2003 FX4 Level 2 were the only years you could get a manual transmission with the manual shift transfer case in the FX4 line. There are several things the Level 2 came with from the factory to make it more Off-Road capable than the non-Level 2.
