As I have mentioned in another thread. I am using the Trans-Dapt 9716 mounts on my 302 swap. I am down to drilling the holes for the mounts. The instructions for the 9716 mounts are fairly vague. Just mentions drilling a hole on the drivers side for pre 1992 Rangers. I found the instructions for the 9736 mounts and pads. It shows where the hole is to be drilled. No problem there. But it shows 2 existing holes on the passenger side crossmember. Mine has only one hole per side. All I am looking to find out is where to drill the hole on the passenger side.

Here is a link to the instructions for the 9736 showing all the holes. http://www.tdperformance.com/images/ePIM/original/9736.pdf

Here is my crossmember without all the mounts.

Here is the crossmember with the plates set on it.

As you can see I have the passenger mount set to drill the bottom hole. It just looked too high putting the bolt in the bottom slot. Please help me get this right. Trying my best to not swiss cheese the crossmember.

So no one has used these mounts before? I know that isn't true.

Seeming to have the same problem both mounting and finding information on how to mount my 9736 plates on my 1993 ford explorer. Holes don’t quite line up on the passenger side. And the driver side plate lands on a depressed part of the cross member and I don’t have the holes that are shown on hedmans instructions. Completely lost here, what did you end up doing?

This thread is 10 years old, but you may have luck PMing the user. Looks like his last visit here was in May, so I suspect he's still "in the game".
