Installing a locker

Yeah as they a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush so I'm just waiting to get it installed. Very excited though. How's it do for burnouts?

I don't really get burnouts. I've got oversize tires, James Duff traction bars, and stiffened rear springs. I get a nice launch without fishtailing. I've done a lot of little tweaks to that Vulcan V6, installed a K&N air filter and twin pipes in back. I can accelerate a few tenths faster than stock, but have an automatic which is just not fast.

The net gain is traction, especially in the snow. I used to put two hundred pounds of gravel in the back when winters came. Now I throw in eighty just in case.

Yeah I'm not dying to burnout but but out on some dirt road I'll probably throw some rocks sometimes or try donuts out. Sounds kind of fun. But yeah definitely waiting for snow and rain.

I'm curious as to how a locker will work with the AdvanceTrak system.

2010 & 2011 Rangers have it, they both have rear disc brakes.
Ok. I didn't think ot went back that far.

But thinking about it, if the locker is activated, there won't be any difference in wheel speed between left and right, so the traction control won't see a problem to fix.

I agree with Curious Hound. I don't think the system see any fault and activate since both sides will be locked together.

I don't think the system compares how the front wheels are moving compared to the back, but I could be wrong on that.

Based on what I've seen on the 2019, the rear locker doesn't seem to trigger anything.

Holy crap... $2000 to set up gears... y'all need to join up with a local offroad club and find the guy who does them for everyone. There is always that guy.

I know three of them that I could call right now and the cost would be about $250-350 in labor per axle. One of them runs an offroad shop...that is his only job...

roll stability control.
2010s have it and need to apply brakes to each wheel independently to function properly.
it'll be interesting to see how this combination works.
