Todays weather

I honestly didn't even know about it till I saw it on the news last night.

Same here. Apparently, we are in the "felt it" area as well. Maybe you had to be on a bridge or something in order to notice it? I know I felt one a few years back while on a span long enough to flex when semi trucks drive over it. It was just a brief shake that felt out of sync, but I thought nothing of it until I heard about it later.

EDIT: Looking at the SKYWARN chat on our Ham Club's discord, apparently there where three earthquakes within a week. One in Ohio, one in Virginia, and now Tennessee.

Me either and I'm a few miles closer than you...

BTW I was in your neighborhood yesterday. (Saturday) Main St Church of Christ in Springfield.
We go to North Ridge. Would love to have you.

Rain, rain all day. Started yesterday. I believe that @Rick W mentioned it being monsoon season in ATL the other day. Feels like he was about right for the whole of the state. Driving home from visiting mom and dad earlier and it was deep. In the F-250 and getting sprays over the roof of the truck. The roads I was on aren't bad about flooding or retaining water, there was just that much come down that hadn't been able run off yet, and it's still coming down.

Hopefully it'll clear out tonight. Per my tuner I need to do some adjusting on my throttle body stop screw before doing more tuning to get base idle right. The throttle body was modified by the head and intake porter, so makes sense that it would need to be adjusted. I don't have a carport, garage, or workshop here to do it in and I'm not standing out in the rain to get it done. Hopefully tomorrow...

my parents and sister are in the Frankfort KY area, they did not feel anything either, and I guess there was an aftershock that hit a bit later, they did not feel that either

Driving through Portland the other day at work I noticed that the weather has been nice enough that the ladies are all starting to break out their skirts.. so that's cool.

Noticed today though that it's officially Black fly/mosquito season... And that's not cool.

You win some, you lose some 🤷🏻‍♀️
Yep, saw my first skeeter today.

Lincoln and I felt the earthquake sitting on the recliner about 9 AM having my 1st cup of coffee. Lincoln ears popped up, and then the rest of him, like a statue. It was barely a wiggle, but it lasted relatively long, maybe 15 or 20 seconds.

I’ve lived here since 91, and that’s the third one I felt, but it was the mildest. I had to do a process of elimination for a few seconds to realize that’s what it was and then confirm it by watching the news. The first two, probably 10 years apart, you knew it was an earthquake, not that it damaged anything down by us.

& the monsoon continues…

I've seen this alert one other time...

It's a windy mofo right now.

The dust alert is because there is a bunch of ag land turned over and just planted.

Tornadoes moved across mid southern Indiana last night, one skipping along 100 miles. Damage reports still coming in. Just thunderstorms where I am.

St. Louis storms killed five people, RIP.

Yeah... it was pretty bad.

Sounds like Kentucky took a big tornado hit.

Yeah just north of us had reports of tornadoes. Today is windy and in the high 80s. Supposed to have some storms later this evening

It got pretty rough here for just a few minutes. Heavy rain, high winds and penny sized hail. It lasted exactly the amount of time it took me to drive from my mom's back home. So maybe 5 minutes.

All it takes is a few minutes to jack up one's life. Hopefully, nothing got damaged.
