Todays weather

It was in the mid 60s on Friday. This morning we woke up to 3" of heavy wet snow.
Ya gotta love spring in Montana!

Suppose to get to 70 here today...

Family is coming over for a BBQ.

It's supposed to get into the low 60s today. Low 70s tomorrrow. Then 50s for a high the rest of the week.

I'd say it's officially spring in the northeast.. early spring anyways.

Buds are budding.. I've seen 2 honey bees.. heard a frog.. the heat hasn't turned on in the house until after bedtime the past few days and I've been working in a t shirt..

Really have to relish this short window of time were experiencing right now.. before you know it there'll be enough black flies and mosquitos out to drain a small child of their blood before they even have a chance to re-dirty their diaper that JUST GOT CHANGED.

Damn kids.

Glad I don't have any.

A fine spring day today, the fields are greenin up nice.

I was under the understanding that it's no longer, April showers bring May flowers.
It's now, April showers bring May flowers and May showers bring floods.
Mayflowers bring pilgrims

Texas got a massive amount of rain when I was in Ohio. How much rain?

Here's my Ranger down in the Red River in September 2023:

Here's a video of the Red River now:

This is I-35. They're widening it and building a new bridge over the river which has been wiped out and some of the equipment was destroyed.

It's crazy how at one point you could walk across the river from Texas to Oklahoma, and now I could park a truck on top of my truck and it would still be submerged

Not quite weather related, but, yesterday we had an earthquake. Epicenter was roughly half way between me and @Robertmangrum.rm , near Knoxville, TN. Measured 4.1 Richter. I felt and heard it in my house.

I honestly didn't even know about it till I saw it on the news last night.

Me either and I'm a few miles closer than you...

BTW I was in your neighborhood yesterday. (Saturday) Main St Church of Christ in Springfield.

Driving through Portland the other day at work I noticed that the weather has been nice enough that the ladies are all starting to break out their skirts.. so that's cool.

Noticed today though that it's officially Black fly/mosquito season... And that's not cool.

You win some, you lose some 🤷🏻‍♀️
