What did YOU do today?

Put up a storm door on the front door of the house, took like 4 hours because of one of the pieces of door trim that was in the way and glued down to the other trim REALLY good... ended up having to modify some things but it is in and works. That and having to dig out the table saw to make up some shims for the latch side that I wasn't expecting to have to do but really glad I have all the tools to do random stuff the correctish way... finding 1/4" by 3/4" wood somewhere would have been annoying but cutting 5 strips off a 1x6 was simple enough

@Robertmangrum.rm congrats on the Bronco. You know your Ranger needs new tires as well.

Now you just need to convince her she needs a lift, and a winch, and.....

Oh I've been working on her. She came out and asked what i was doing under the Bronco already haha. Shes made it clear that it will be a while before it gets in the woods. But that won't stop building it. Now my budget may.....well, will slow that process pretty drastically haha

Like I said above. Those KO3s on that Ranger Raptor would look good im my driveway (with that Raptor attached, of course), haha.

Outside of lawn work, not much got done. I forced myself to get the edging along the pavement done, otherwise it was only going to get worse. And I torched the chain link fence line since the neighor seems to have no interest in keeping it clean on their side. I had a garden sprayer full of water on hand for when the piled up leaves decided it wanted to catch fire.

Put the tiller on the tractor again and ran it for like an hour and a half, bumpy job... in one spot I found the thimble spacer from an old disc harrow, tiller wasn't a huge fan of that... :)

After that went into the shop and started cleaning up a bit, after I take a load of trash and recycling out tomorrow it should be good enough to fit the boat in, supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon so will probably get to that Friday.

Not much yesterday since there was a VFW meeting but the day before, I completed building the base of the rafter storage rack. I just need to use some of the left over scrap to lift the bottom up off the ground and get it to sit level since where it is going to go is not level ground.

Feeding a 50 plus pound turtle.

Is it a turtle or a tortoise?
Who cares, it's got a shell and appears to be happily munching away on that green stuff.

Actually not a bad question. Lets see if I remember this right. All tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises. Tortoise is used to refer to primarily land dwelling turtles, so... That is definitely a turtle, and I would assume that is also a tortoise.

Today I checked another day off my wasted week of leave. Not entirely wasted, I needed a break from work and I'm getting it. Just wasn't a good time to go anyplace, or I couldn't figure out a place that I wanted to go. Should have worked here around the house, but didn't do that either. Only thing I've accomplished so far this week is finally making progress on getting the V8 swap tuned. but that's a discussion for the other thread.

Ha unsure, just doing a favor for a friend of mine's neighbor.

I just have a thing for technicalities I guess lol.

Like.. all bugs are insects.. but not all insects are bugs..

That might be backwards actually.. either way 😋

I like our shelled friends quite a bit too.. almost went ahead and got set up to have a turtle enclosure a few years back until I heard one of my buddy's exclaim one of their latest 'dates' had.. an area on their body that 'smelled like a warm turtle tank'

Totally turned me off on the idea.

Hauled 2 ton of limestone (one ton at a time) on the ol F-150. Shoveled about a ton and a half. The area I’m getting ready to fix my green Ranger on got a coating and leveled up a bit. Got some put around my shop and dump truck. Got some up to Paul’s to take care of the mud at the gate. The rest will go behind my shop, hopefully tomorrow. Things are coming together.

So far treated my rain jacket and a pair of the wife's shoes while I was at it... going to an auction Saturday and it's supposed to be gross out and I've been meaning to treat the jacket for months anyway... then took a load of recycling and garbage from the shop to the cans in the driveway...

About to head back to the shop to continue the rearranging of things...

Cut the grass since we had a break in the rain, hiked around the base with my 40 pound SAR pack for 2.7 miles, and put left over pieces of scrap on the bottom of the storage rack to get the base up off the ground and have it more or less sitting level. Weather and time permitting, I'll start on the wood to make the sides and top.

I also ordered some square aluminum tubing to lift the RTT on the 2019 so it can clear the shark fin and be moved forward. Once I get the tubing, I'll have to drill some holes and see how much longer the bolts need to be so I can reattach the RTT.

I swallowed a video camera and spit it back out while sleeping.

Sounds a lot more interesting than having an endoscopy of my esophagus. Found out I have a mild hiatal hernia. Plus, he took some biopsies. Have to wait for lab results on those. And, he dilated my esophagus - stretched it open with a balloon. Yay. So much fun.
