What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

replaced the GEM module in the 2000.
the battery had been draining for quite a while, tracked down to fuse 26 in the dash panel.
when you pull the air vent out reach in and push the top up to unlock a tab.

Pulled the wheels off this week to have the 13 year old tires replaced. No I wasn't driving on them, except around the block to monitor the truck after numerous parts replacements. Bought this about 3 weeks ago with 101k. No maintenance done EVER. Decided now was a good time to use some rust reformer and plastic restorer to the wheels wells and frame. I'll replace the splash aprons after alignment (I made new ones). Then I'll spray it all down with some PB Blaster surface shield.

Wow, down here "No maintenance done EVER" means the normal stuff like fluid changes and brakes. Thats above and beyond maintenance. You're making me feel a bit ashamed here.

Did you top coat the rust reformer, or is that the finish it left? The stuff works, but never comes out that well when I try to use it.

No top coat yet. I did this on my 19 Superduty and used Fluid Film over it. Looks amazing 2 Kansas winters later. All the maintenance items are in my build thread. I have been known to go above and beyond......I have installed Katzkins in my last 2 trucks and my 13 year old son (who this Ranger is eventually going to) asks "are we keeping the interior like this " I had to tell him I wasn't putting leather into a 24 year old truck, lol.

Drove it to White House, TN to meet up with @Robertmangrum.rm and pick up some electrical stuff.

Can I ask exactly how you all get those different color banners by your usernames?
You earn them.
Come to a TRS event. Build a RBV with a turbo or supercharger. Get a GMRS license. Become a supporting member.

How about "least talkative"?

I need the Rustoleum badge, 30 year USPS OSHA certified forklift driver badge, only own Fords badge and possibly an I drink too much when camping at the lake badge.
Some of them you can apply yourself. Just be honest about it. At the top of the page, click in your avatar. You should see a menu pop up. Click on account details and just work yourself down the page, filling in any info that applies to you and your Ranger. Some things, the admins, Jim and Ryan have to apply. "Supporting member" should show up if you decide to be a paying member. I think it's around $15 per year. That money goes toward administrative website needs like domain name registration, web hosting fees, special software packes, etc. Everyone here is an unpaid volunteer. So, we're not getting big raises or anything.
