Yours tape guided?

Ricky and Lucy are guided by a wire embedded in the floor. These new ones are not. I don't work with them directly. So I don't know anything about them. There are some other wire guided AGVs in the other paint shop. And there are hundreds of various types in the assembly halls and logistics warehouses.

They get routes planned in CAD software these days, and then have LIDAR sensors. One place I worked had them programmed to back up, but generally they'd wait for an obstruction to move, and if it didn't then it would alarm. They couldn't go around things. I really wanted them to have googly eyes, but the ops people did not appreciate that like I did

The drone activity was FAA authorized for research and testing among other activities.

So, the chain of events went…
There are drone doing some sketchy shit.
The people say “we don’t like this, something seems sketchy”.
The government responds “it’s not us, we don’t know nothin’… but don’t shoot them down.”
The public stops caring.
The drones start flying again and the government say “yeah, it’s us doing some sketchy shit, but we’re not going to tell you what so don’t worry about it.”

Does that sound about right?

That's how it seems to be. But at least the new administration says "it's us doing some sketchy shit." Before saying "don't worry about it."

Ours actually had two sensors on the mast so they very much looked like him

Didn't the FAA ground all drone activity until they figured out who it was... and now it was the FAA all along?

The way I read ot, the FAA just approved it. But, yeah. The government knew all along.

Typical government crap. They know, but they aren’t telling.

Based on what my friends saw of the drones in NJ, I have 0% belief in what's being said. I'm sure some things were hobbyist, whatever, but my belief is that the gov't has no clue what some of them were, displayed behaviors that could not be explained (no FLIR signature, no propulsion sounds) and that explanation would be not acceptable to most people.

Just saw one of our little guys. Stuck and confused. Notice all the colors lit on its light whip. That is one its distress signals. Poor little guy. You've got to be brave to wander around this place.

Our roomba has a heck of a time with our couch. It gets wedged under it if it isn't blocked off. It really tries to go before it gives up, wedges in there hard.
