Unfortunately, the Ranger was never offered with a turn signal mirror option, so no wiring in the doors. You can find both of the wires I mentioned under the dashboard on the left hand side. The hardest part of this upgrade is fishing the signal wires through the rubber boot between the door and the cab. A flexible plastic rod works really well for this. You can use a metal wire, but be sure to disconnect the battery to avoid shorting something.That’s a lot more my speed, for basically the same thing in the older style. I like my style of mirrors anyway, I don’t feel the need to upgrade to the 2006+ mirrors.
For the wiring, are there (somehow) already turn signal wires in the door, or will I have to route back to under the dashboard to a harness?
