I understand the initial planting process id a lot of work, but after they are established, they require very little upkeep.

It is a kit. 12x20... this one has removable side walls with roll up doors. I was just going to get a tent type car shelter... the wife liked this one better. This one will likely increase the home value with additional covered car parking.

Just need to finish the roof. Build a new gate. Then have some gravel hauled in.

I've got to do a little rearranging the shed... but I'm hoping to put maybe one of those HF Yukon cabinets in there and between my shed and new carport... I'll have a functional Bronco II workshop.

I'm dreading the labor involved... but I'm probably going to run electrical out to the shed. Will be much nicer then the 100 extension cord I have run out there now. I figure it will also help on resale of the property when the time comes.

I like how you're doing that. Your layout does give some new ideas to play with.

I had to go get mulch my wife ordered on wally world. Took forever for them to bring it out...

But after loaded headed out... I saw they still had some garden plants. Had to get something in the ground.

It is a satisfying pastime, kinda like power washing mold off of a old car or whatever. There is a very distinct visual of accomplishing something.



No harsh chemicals or sticky residues involved here. Just iron spiced with a few spare hydrocarbons from a 80yo classic.





Kinda neat, I was going along and a bird flew away in front of me, I just barely noticed she was sitting on a nest.



I jumped off to inspect and momma quail was off a bit acting injured, soon papa quail was doing the same trying to bait me away from the nest. She is lucky it happened to be on the outside of my rig. My cultivator is a two row, it cuts half a row in front of the rear tires, a full row behind the front tires and and another half a row in front of the other rear tire. If I had been over a row both front tires would have crushed the nest and the gang of sweeps would have plowed it under. As it was she barely missed everything, I pulled out and went around it on the next pass so I didn't destroy them.



Almost reminds me of the old Windows XP wallpaper.



I got it all done today, I might get to do it again depending on how things play out but if everything goes like it should it should be jumping in height pretty quick. It pulled hard, if it wasn't super hard it was still mud.

A little over 6 acres actually planted. Dad has a combine and we haul it to town to sell.

We do the regular corn/soybean rotation.

There's a local farm corporation in our area that does a few thousand acres..al in smaller tracts that they rent and I imagine, a lot of their own. It looks like there's going to be a lot of corn this year. It's tough, time consuming work and mother nature can be unreasonable.
