What did YOU do today?

Unfortunately, that and endometriosis are often missed until things are bad. Women are taught from an early age that they will have pain and bleeding every month. The problem is, everyone’s pain tolerance is different and it’s difficult to judge how much pain and bleeding is normal and what level indicates a problem. Medicine is far from being an exact science. My ex wasn’t diagnosed with her endometriosis until it was bad enough that nearly everything had to be removed. That was at roughly 45yrs old. We had only been married a few years. So, no kids for us.

Praying for you and your wife.

Not really "sad" with the wife's ovarian cancer - once the "silent killer." Just grateful. She was diagnosed in mid 2020 and actually doing well with this latest chemo cocktail. Unfortunately ovarian cancer never really goes away but some women have gone on some 20 years with it. There has been great progress with chemo and now immunological cancer therapy.

But again, make sure your women know the signs of ovarian cancer. Most women are not diagnosed until stage 4 as they (and their docs) do not know the warning signs.

In my prayers, always look to Him.

Whether they can manage it or not, still praying for her. Cancer of any kind is no joke, nor is the cure.

Continuing on the camper project, between yesterday and today was at home depot 3 times... got the 5 1x2's I need for the structure yesterday, since it was dry and my coworker that lives somewhat close to me has his full size Dodge I talked him to go to HD with me to get the 4 sheets of 1/8" underlayment so I didn't have to figure out how to get those floppy things home in the Ranger...

At this point I'm about 2/3 done with scraping the layer of wood off the fiberglass side, it's a serious pain, pretty sure I have at least 3 hours into that which is quite the core workout, my bad shoulder isn't the happiest... gotta sharpen 3 of the 4 blades on the glue/paint scraper thing tomorrow as they're getting pretty dull... maybe poke around and see if I can find one of my several others... so many splinters... I ordered a gallon of sprayable contact cement too today. About the only other supply will be whatever construction adhesive I end up with to glue the underlayment to the foam, the contact cement I got isn't foam safe and I think I want something more gap filling...

Plowed the drive out, not that its very deep but since it wont be over freezing until at least wednesday I figured it would be best to clear whats there rather than drive over it constantly & keep packing it down. Even with gloves my hands get so cold, I cant take the cold weather nearly like I used to be able to.

Buy some heated motorcycle gloves

Took the dog to the beer store. Then, when I came home, I cleared the snow from the driveway since the wife was out too and it was empty.
Didn’t really need it, but why not.

Wife is out getting a cat that her friend was fostering. Hopefully he’ll put a dent in the local rat population and they’ll stop digging holes in my walls. See how this goes.

Mittens are better than gloves. Then put in the handwarmers that are activated by air. Works pretty good. Other way is 2 glove liners with a handwarmer stuffed between on the back of the palm.
Don't put the handwarmers directly on skin.

Man.. I love the lazy pack-the-driveway-down method. Sometimes anyways. The balloons for tires I have now make pretty quick work of it, especially if it's wet enough.

Never went above 30° here.

Put gloves, hand warmers, mittens and shoveling on the to do list. Then sat in recliner and watched old movies and maybe a game.

Oh, today I thought about next steps on the projects, surfed Craigslist, fed Lincoln. Some good finds, nothing I think I could use.

That shoveling and driveway clearing gets a lot easier if you can put it off until June.

Even easier here. No snow, none in 3 years.

Junkie habit out of control. Now I’m screwed.

1/4-20 x 1”, #3 Phillips, zinc coated, self tapping.

$25, screwed 2,500 times.

(now you know why I need eight balls)

Honey do day.

I ripped a 3/8 inch piece of 2 x 4, 36 inches long, drilled it at an angle and put in a dozen pegs. It’s for Sweet Pea to hang up her mops and brooms in her laundry room.

Then she wanted me to stop what I was doing, and go over to Walmart and get this $70 ladder that was pretty much a piece of crap for her to use in her basement. Sweet Pea has almost as many Halloween and Christmas decorations as Walmart has a few weeks before the holiday. She needs this ladder for her basement, because she has the stuff stacked up on shelves and actually hanging from the floor joists

You’ll never guess what I did.

I looked on Craigslist/marketplace, and I picked up this 3-step Cosco ladder. It’s very solid on the ground, wide base, It has a nice stable platform on top, and a fold out shelf.

$40. I looked it up, and they sell for about $130. Not my best effort, but I did the whole thing in an hour.

I’m sure I’m going to be in trouble for something….
