i just realized the other day that there is a PERFECT readily available "shorty" header that will work with a 5.0 swap in all circumstances, anyone wanna make a guess at what that set is....

1995 Ford Mustang GT Factory "shorty" header's, they fit perfect, i will get a pic of them in the truck VERY soon

The left side fits, but the right header needs a clearance notch cut in the frame. Same as the 85-93 header.

mine did not need such a notch, and it is not the same from what i can see as the 85-93 header because i have a set of both, from a 87 gt and from a 95 gt

I didn't say it was the same header as the 85-93, only that both need a notch cut into the frame to fit. The left header tubes are routed differently allowing them to clear the steering box.

Any word on the pics of the header install. I am gathering up materials and am curious if the 95 headers will fit for my BII conversion.

Thanks

I wouldn't mind using the shorty headers, but I've been told they're not all that great for dragracing.

Not for running open headers. The shorty ones work just fine with a full exhaust.

When i built my 39 ford sedan, i dropped in a 5.0 302 roller motor, and used a set of mustang shorty headers, only had to cut a knotch a lil bit in the frame and it fit perfect

Won't work with certain Explorer conversions because of the "P" head type... just sayin.
