What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

just one question, @sgtsandman , is that stain on the passenger seat from someone peeing himself while riding with you??

Can't remember what it's from but more than likely coffee.

I installed a mount for a tablet for off road navigation in the 2011. It still needs a little work. I may be able to shorten the post portion for a better fit. I’ll have to see if I can take the post and flexible neck apart and then, if I can cut the tube shorter, drill new holes, and reassemble.

Either way, I’m going to need to speed up the planned purchase of a proper DMR mobile radio so I can free up the space where the HT is. There is already a bracket on the radio mounted on the front of the seat to hold another radio.

I like the "standard briefing" sticker.

Started mocking up and tacking a WIYs bed rack kit from HotMetal Fab. I needed something taller than the cab to mount my paddle board too, and wanted something steel I could easily add stuff too.

Swapped the passenger tie rod end in the Missing Linc. I’ve been soaking it with penetrating oil for a week, but it was still a lot easier than I thought it would be.

When I was under there, I realized the drag link was almost as bad, so I ordered one of them.

I took my ole girl to dinner tonight since I no longer have a girlfriend.

Good thing? Bad thing? Good to spend time with the truck though

Drove mine to work today, after retrieving an ice scraper from the Snooper Doody. First hard front of the season this morning.

Srove the 2019 home from Ohio. Weird how almost every time there is some kind of precipitation on that trip home. Going out is normally dry and clear. I’m struggling to remember a trip home where the drive was dry and clear.

Took the '97 in to have one of the very few things that's better left off to someone else... got a windshield and since it was cheaper with new wiper blades they did that... I meant to swap wiper blades with one of the sploders but forgot, oh well... Safelite didn't do too bad, washed the inside and outside of my door windows too and didn't screw up my seat setting...

Missing Linc drag link came in today. The one I ordered was half the price of all the other ones. So I popped underneath the truck today just to make sure it was the right one. Looks OK.

The bag of 50 stainless Nylok half inch nuts came in today for the Road Ranger converter dolly.

I don’t know about you guys, but I get a rush from just seeing them on my workbench. I mean, they’re not just nuts, they’re stainless nuts. And they’re the nylon lock nuts. And they’re big, they’re a half inch, not 1/4-20 erector set stuff. And there’s 50 of them. I love playing with this junk. Whew.

I am curious what it cost you to acquire that big bag of big nuts.
