Those are kinda... disappointingly slow.

Saw one at my local 8th mile a month or so ago and it ran a couple of 9.2s 😑 obviously not what it's designed to do but damn.. what does it weigh? 4 tons?

its perfect.....i will take it. have Rory drop it off at chubbies warehouse.

that would be mid 14...so something is off because they are 12.80s to 13 flat at 110 to 106 out this way...

my powerboost 13.10s 106 with the limiters turned off. 13.8 102 straight up on the dragy. tuned they are mid 12's and run with the raptor R and TRX. which is amazing to me.

of course there are guys that report to not get out of the 14s...so. there is that.

So....

We got a 40-50 year old squarebody GM dragging whats left of a 2 or 3 year old mopar out of a canyon?

These guys have the coolest job in the friggin world

It SEEMED like they were trying anyways, squaked all 4 tires from the light on both passes...

All I wanna do is get my '96 4 banger to run a 9.2 now lol... the racing calculators say it would need 170whp to get there lol.. seems attainable.

1/8 or 1/4?

Not a whole Lotta 40-50 year old Chevy left...

WHAT WAS THE TOWING BILL?
It ended up being free according to Rory. Someone with a reputation for not following "Tread Lightly" principles put in a low bid for the job after Rory had already done the legwork and bid it to the insurance companies. So he bid to fo it gor free so it would be done right. There were a lot of hoops to jump through legally to get equipment in to that location. He had to leave the official roads in BLM land and then cross onto another organization's land. And extract the vehicle with as little damage to the environment as possible. He cites that one reason they stayed low in that wash was so that after a couple rains, any trace of them being there would be washed over.

It's important to follow the rules, stay on official trails, etc. We just lost over 300 miles of offroading trails out that way. And, often those losses happen because of careless indivuals.

1/8 or 1/4?
I am speaking to the 1/4.... He said 9's in the 1/8th....which is 14s in the 1/4 on the numbers.

I will miss the power boost when I turn it in. Might get a Bronco ....though I would rather a power boost again. Maybe...
Maybe

Good point
Those guys out in the dry southwest have a better stock of old trucks than we have in the southeast. But all y'all up in the rust world have it rough.

We dont have shit up here anymore unfourtantly.

Even the 80's stuff seems to be drying up. 90's stuff is still plenty plentiful. 88-98 C/K's and 92-96 F series are everywhere
