What did YOU do today?

That's how I know your a robot, no one actually does that.
In SC you do. Or you pay fines.

Anyway. Truck is gone, plate turned in, canceled from my insurance and money deposited.

I also figured out the trailer brake problem. It was more wiring hacks by the previous owners. Removed the bumper so I can flip and rotate as necessary to weld in it all afternoon.

A little late with this post but the NHRA National Open at Cape Breton Dragway is where I was from Thursday to Sunday. My Ranger is still not back together so I spent the weekend as Crew Chief for my brother's Super/Gas Vega. BTW this track is 7-8 minutes from my house.

Bonus bunch of pics from the weekend up on our message board:

Trying to organize all things that I NEED for tent camping.

Way to much... and I tend to take things that never get used.

I'll trade a spare tire carrier for one.
Loaded 1 of the jacks in the truck this morning. Also dug around and found the receiver recovery thingy and put it in the truck. Oh by the way if anyone is interested in a RC tow hook conversation ti shackle kit for a 19+ let me know by Thursday and I can load them up and bring them as well. They aren't new but a little paint and they would be mint haha

Don’t suppose I could get one of those jacks too? Lol

I'll see if I can grab another. They go quick haha. If there's not another one here I have 2 or three at home that may only been used once or twice. I got you either way.

I’ve been working on an old Bronco for my brother. He has an old Ranger I’ve been using for parts. It’s rusted beyond use but the tailgate has been in the barn for 15 years or better. Scored it today. Last year of the embossed F O R D
Gonna make it my new wall hanger.

Trying to winterize my storage so I have a roof over my stuff. A decade or so ago I scored 3 rolls of 12mil heat shrink poly, 40'x60'. I have 2 left which should do what I want covered. I have a fenced compound with a school bus on the left, space, tool crib, space, RV. The span is approximately 80'. Today I welded in a support for the beam I'm using over the tool crib. Not too sure how I'm going to finish it but I have two 300' rolls of 2" milspec strapping I think I'm going to stretch that from fence to fence over the beam. Then the poly and more straps or rope to prevent it lifting too much. The beam is a 24' aluminum plank meant for staging for siding.
Only pic I have so far:

Worked on the chicken house today. Nest boxes done, roost done, door between feed room & bird area done. Not too much more to do before I can move the chickens over. Then its time to dismantle the kennel & make it into their yard area.

I unloaded the 2011 and got the camping gear from the last camping trip put away. Repaired the vinyl tarp used to cover the utility trailer and started to repair the splash skirt for the kayak. Apparently, they used some kind of glue to attach the cloth covers over the bows that help it retain it’s shape. That is separating. So I used my tarp stitcher to more permanently attach those. One bow is fixed but I need to fix the other yet. Then I’ll have to figure out how to seal the holes. Tent seam sealer should work.

Well, today was my return trip from Ohio where I aborted my Kentucky run at because of mounting problems. Ranger and transmission did better coming home than the outbound leg, although there apparently is still a power steering problem because the reservoir is empty again. I was pretty certain the problem was the hose that I replaced. I’ll have to dig into it some more. Got everything in the driveway again and tried to hurry up and mow my property and promptly slid the tractor against the fence and got stuck. Went back over to the house to grab the Ranger and a strap and the sky opened up. So the tractor is still stuck against the fence, I’ll deal with it tomorrow. Along with unloading. Really wish the Ferguson and the brush hog were functional now, lol. Might have to give that some attention and see what happens since my property is a tad tall right now.

Take a good look at the lines on the rack. One could have rusted to the point that springs a leak.

I had that happen on the ‘98.

Both lines looked pretty good, I had considered replacing them but they looked good enough I decided not to. The leak seems to be confined to the drivers side, but that also means just about everything is suspect. Really kinda irritated with the design of the rack, it really isn’t very serviceable in my opinion. No wrench exists that really fits in there on anything. I tried converting to -6AN and that really doesn’t make it any better either. Everything is a fight with it, even when the engine was out.
