Put a prerunner style tube bumper with a big aluminum skidplate on it.

Looks like you need some tow hooks at least...put one on each frame rail, on the bottom side. They are like $6 apiece at your local tractor supply. Lots stronger than that crossmember.

Those are the Tie rods for the steering.

Speaking of tow hooks, are the factory ones easy to remove? On my 2000 I've added a body lift but when doing that I just took a sawzall to them to clear the front bumper. I'd like to completely remove what is left of them, then get some new ones properly put on. And yes, tbcmarine's rig has a nice looking front end.

K nevermind I looked at the brown one and saw the bigger shaft behind but not on hers.
