I’m never going to go test drive Electric Vehicles

In fairness, I doubt you'd buy any Platinum trim type vehicle for general fleet use. They do offer the Lightning in a work truck type trim (forget the package name) that's still pretty well equipped and IIRC it's in line price wise with XLT. Around $50k when I saw it a year or so ago.

we have them on base as the unit trucks. fleet white electric f150s with base interior and steelie wheels

thats crazy. 60k for a base looking truck. its crazy that any truck is 60k thats just a half ton

I think even the XL 2wd gassers are going almost 40 now

Which is why I didn’t get an F150 when I ordered my 2019 Ranger. The Ranger was bad enough.

This is why my fleet trucks are used market that I send out for refurb. It makes a lot more sense to me to go out and buy older vehicles and dump a few thousand into them rebuilding Driveline components, interior, Etc versus buying new. Older platforms generally speaking ate proven if you buy smart.

That, and I only buy manuals, which really cuts down the truck options for new market. There's a story as to why I'm banned from the local Fleet Sales dealership involving manual transmissions, but that's not for the internet.

You tried to order a brand new F-150 with 2.9 Cologne and a TK-5, didn't you?

It did involve a rather uh, spirited debate about manual transmissions...

If that was available id buy one.

Maybe not an F150, but in a new 2dr bronco.

Or a godzilla

You would put a 2.9 in a Godzilla? How would that even work?
