1: they can operate the same up-side-down as right-side-up. if equipped with very tall tires that could be a game changer

2: if properly sealed up they excel at extreme deep water crossings. bring scuba tank

3: they are so quiet the dangerous animals won't be spooked until you are well within their striking range.

4: they put the juice back into the battery while descending, stick to hilly terrain for greatly enhanced range.

another negative: if you get in an accident, its totaled (is what i read about electric vehicles, not supposed to repair them because of hte battery maybe being messed up and could blow).

i used to work on golf carts for a local cart/battery shop here in town. certified for club car and ez-go. i think an electric vehicle could be great for in town use and as a run around vehicle but if you have to leave town, take the gas powered one.

There are large communities in FL as far as I know golf carts are legal there and autos are restricted? I am not positive the in and outs of that but something in that neighborhood

You can't run out of gasoline or diesel in an electric vehicle, I ain't wrong :)

Now I haven't been everywhere in the world, but all the places I have been to have a daytime and nighttime

So you could re-charge an electric vehicle, even if it takes weeks, lol
But digging an oil well and then refining it into gasoline or diesel would take much LONGER

EV's are repaired all the time, just like any other car.

Of course - if there's actual damage to the battery and it's smoking/on fire, everybody's going to back away and give it space to burn itself out. And that may leave the vehicle totalled.

Ol' Jed was just shootin' at some food, when up from the ground came the bubblin' crude.

That's how I see it. EV makes sense for short in-town use, and IC still makes the most sense for cross country use.

The electric cart thing is also getting more popular, and more neighborhoods are accommodating cart usage with paths and ordinances allowing it. That's a good thing.

Well the first thing you know ol Jed's a millionaire,
The kinfolk said "Jed move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"

No thanks; sorry, but I'll just stay in Georgia.

WhistlinDiesel drove a tesla upside down

Chillin' with Chet drove a tesla underwater(after sealing and adding alot of weight)

Instant torque should excell at things like low speed rock climbing.

Careful there, it's invading GA too. We've got once city that, IIRC, has more golfs cart that autos. Peachtree City was designed around golfcart usage.

I live down in Crawford County, the big city in this county, Roberta, barely brings in enough tax money to keep the light on. Well the whole county is about like that. Anyway, Roberta got the bright idea a couple of years ago to a put a proposal on the ballot that would have provided for creation of a network of golfcart trails similar to what Peechtree City has. Included was not just building the trails, but also taking private property behind people's houses to basically build said trails in their back yard. For some reason even though I'm well outside city limits in tyhe county I can vote on their proposals and stuff. Normally I won't vote on any that don't affect me, and this wouldn't, but I had to vote NO on that one.

I'm not against allowing use of golf carts in town, but there's not reason they can't just use the roads like they already have been. The couple of "main" roads are large/wide enough for passing around a golf cart, and the rest have low enough posted speeds that a golf cart isn't a hinderance. Require head lights, brake light, blinkers, and pretty much the same safety equipment as a moped or scooter, and let them use the road.

How do you lift an EV?
