Todays weather

Ten degrees right now with who knows how far below 0 as a wind chill... supposed to be -17 later on before the wind is factored in 🥶 I heard -40 in some spots with the wind.

It's a balmy 1 degree here this morning... -12 with the wind chill.

Suppose to be on the 40's over the weekend... go figure.

It was 12* when I got up this morning… meter that runs the heat and hot water tank and all has been messing up past couple days, boiler also took a dump, 6 of the 8 heat coils are dead. Electric company was out and changed the meter today so we should have hot water soon again, but still waiting on parts for the boiler…

So for the past two days our heat has been this…

Y'all need to fire your groundhog . . .

It’s 16 degrees and really windy. Last I saw, the “feels like” temperature was 0 degrees. It’s supposed to go down to 6 tonight. Just in time for drill weekend. Murphy’s Law says we’ll keep getting called out to the flight line all day.

He gets what he deserves for cursing us with 6 more weeks of winter...let him 'fry'!
Ooh! Chicken fried groundhog with gravy? Yum!

It was 3 degrees at 7am, 1 degree by 9 am, -15.2 now and headed down. They're predicting wind chill of -45 for tomorrow. If your nose hairs freeze and the snow squeaks when you walk, it's friggin' cold.
The old guy(younger than I am now) who ran the shop when I started in 1975 would say "it's cold enough to freeze the balls offen a brass monkey". There used to be a brass fixture called a monkey with round divots in it that they stacked cannon balls on, in extreme cold the brass shrank and the balls rolled off, for you military history buffs.
