What does Ford think the Maverick is for?

Look....ill be square. Ive been nosing around at crew cab aluminum 1/2 tons. With the 6'6 box and a 5.0.

I just havent brought myself to pull the trigger yet as my 97 is just to good at what it does...and its paid for.

Come on in, the water is fine...

They’re not bad, but I would wait until you need to replace the ‘97. (Rust, major expense, wife tells you to get rid of that eyesore, etc.)
Wifes been on my ass cause shes sick of me wrenching on it lol. But i have done alot to it past year or two (new brakes, diff cover, fuel tanks, fillers, BFG A/Ts, other odds n ends) its only got 120k and is still a damn good truck in my eyes.

Its just...rusting the body. Its not bad for a MI truck though, drives good. Im all hell fired to off it till i drive it and im like damn this things still nice lol

Had any issues with the 5.0?

It sounds to me like it checked all the boxes I listed.

Well if you drive a new F-150 compared to anything older than 2019, you will be like wow! this thing is quiet and rides like a luxury car and can tow 13k!!

I had a 97 aerostar for a few months with stalk mounted aftermarket cruise. Sometimes it would stick and not cancel or take off accelerating full bore. Granted it was a 3.0 so it wasnt bad...but still made it interesting first time or two i used it.

Too bad it didn't have a 2.9. It would have fallen flat on it's face before it got out of the driveway.

Kinda just holdin off now to see what happens when the economy tanks. My job is recession proof so if we nosedive hopefully used vehicles go with it.

If they do ill pry be looking closer at superduties.

My straps get hung off the louvers on the headache rack. Had them in a bucket in the bed before, worked fine until the lid broke and they were always wet.

I like to look under the truck and see a couple fairly massive beams. But that's me.

Yeah when (probably not if) the economy tanks hopefully we won't be seeing Carvana trying to get $25k for a 2011 Ranger.
