'85 Ranger Restomod

Whatever it takes... the G-Unit will be blowing snow flakes.

You may want to reword that... snowflakes are stupid people around these parts...

Gmrs brainbox moved into where a different brainbox used to live...

So far the a/c is a success! The complete system:

Generally runs 195, runs 205 now with the a/c on on the highway on mid 90's. I thought it was a little high but per Google a stock 195* stat isn't fully open until around 210*.

I also need to get the efan controller so the efans kick on with the a/c. The one I am eyeing also has a cutout for water crossings (lol) and for when going down the highway and having the efans on for the AC isn't needed.

That’s going in the quote thread… along with the Urban Dictionary definition of a snowflake.

URA snowflake..
I wish there were snowflakes right now… I’m outside cutting up a tree that fell the other day. It’s too hot for this sh!t.

No matter how you try to spin it, blowing a snowflake can't be good.

New door seals

Slight variation from OEM but they seem to work.

Nice. I'm pretty sure I used that same seal on my ranger and it's been working fine

This looks like the same seals I used on the bronco as well. I ordered all of mine from LMC. They are working welling. No more wind noise in my bronco and they don't leak either.

Drove it to work today to wash it getting ready for our car show this weekend.

Dang heater core keeps leaking. But after buying a heater core twice now I am back to thinking it is the hoses, probably the clamps. I have modern screw clamps and I am ready to just say screw it and put them on. I pulled the heater core cover off and let it get up to temp tonight and it is bone dry in the cab... but I have dribbles on the engine side of the firewall. It must still get inside the cab because I can still smell it occasionally.

Ran the A/C on the way home... dang it is nice to have. Too bad I don't have anywhere to drive it this year.

Fuel... she is running richer than Oprah. My new oil is diluted which is just great. Apparently my fuel pump is breaking in, it is running 7psi again and it is back to hard hot starting. I have a regulator and new needles on order which I hope will fix that.

Another car show in the rear view...

Gorgeous day, high was only around 80*.

It was still super nice to climb into the truck, point her east and crank up the A/C when we got done cleaning up though. :icon_thumby:
