What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

If I may, Amazon has some great deals on tires.
$96 per tire including your local area installation. A no brainer. Hankook too...

I appreciate it. I shopped around for tires that would be a good price and suitable for the type of driving I’ll be doing. I ordered my tires off Ebay.

yesterday was ranger day here in flour bluff texas.

i found a guy selling some 15" jeep rims because my wrangler has some huge rims with spacers and i hate the way it looks. so anyways, i go to get the wheels from him and when we get to his house, they are in the back of a similar year ranger extended cab. i get out and he goes "nice, another danger ranger". i laugh because i was thinking the same thing and we talk about jeeps, rangers, and the military because he is here for flight school and is a marine.
so i leave from there and go to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions and when i turn in to the parking lot, another stepside ranger with rims and tires is in front of me driving.
i comment to my wife what a crazy little trip this had been. in 10 miles of driving we have seen two other rangers with wheels and tires in the bed, and one is a stepside like ours.

just something funny that happened while out and about.

today i have the ranger at work because i sold an old swing tire carrier from an xj jeep cherokee, finally. its one like the old bronco2s have that bolts to the body and latches to the bumper. probably made by the same people because they sure identical. anyways, its in the bed going to a new home

If I may, I ordered a brandy new tire from eBay for my 93 Ranger a few months back. It was a Goodyear, 235 75 15, it only costed me $72. The Total cost was under a $100 total with a $20 mounting. Not too shabby. I'm looking for the same deal as we speak. The only thing I came up with close was on Amazon. I posted that link above.

This is a good deal too from Walmart.

Cool, yeah I saw those also. For me I'd rather go with Hankook. I do more city driving then anything. So I guess these would work for me. I don't do any dirt roads or 4x4 stuff. Just your basic street driving

This truck will be abused like a red headed step sister that loves meth.
The day the trans shit the bed.

I’ll never run Hankook anything again, I was extremely disappointed with the performance (or lack thereof) out of the AT tires. I could easily lose traction on dry roads, wet roads were terrible, and entirely useless in dirt or snow. The last straw was coming home from work when it was snowing and it took over an hour and a half to make a normal 30 minute drive because in 4x4 I couldn’t go above 15 mph without skittering all over the road. Replaced them with Mastercraft Courser CXTs and couldn’t be happier. Heck, even the Kenda Klever MT tires on the 92 had better road manners than the Hankooks.

So it was a bit of a miserable journey since I’m still not able to do a lot, but the 92 came home today finally with some help. Interesting enough, she fired right up and drove on and off the tow dolly.

Honestly I would have bought Goodyear Wrangler Authority all terrains if they made a 33x12.50. I have been running them on my F-350 for a year and a half now. They have done very good for me and I have driven a ton of rocky desert roads, rocky and snow covered mountain roads. I only switch to the Patagonias because I could get them in 33’s.

Took my Ranger to Ikea. Wife wanted furniture.

Still gotta put it together

I’ve got a M5OD core to rebuild. Should I get something from IKEA first, to practice?

Might confuse you. Just go for it on the transmission.

just got my Wulf suspension components now i just need to find a place to put them on. My lift doesn't have the adapters for a truck frame or id just put it on myself.
