What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

The wood pile needs split. The reflection in your window gave your lack of initiative away.

Don't look at as a lack of initiative, look at as a prioritization... obviously the new mirrors took priority over splitting the logs

Getting a start with the CalTracs install on my Ranger and those !@#$%^ bushings put up a big fight. Still many months still to wait before the first event at our local track so I"m not in a rush to get it finished.

Nope, wood pile is fine. It's not my fault you don't like BIG fires.

Can you do back to back runs with and without the Caltracs? It would be interesting to see how much improvement between the old setup and the Caltracs.

DIY bedbug treatment after our move. Figure it’ll be good after an hour or two. Got an oversized truck and only loaded it half way… safety first.

oh ya… I have to make this post ranger related. I picked up the heater with the ranger.

Went to go to my doctor appointment this morning... truck went click.

I replaced the cable ends and charged battery... started and charging system seems good.

I think I put the battery in three years ago... probably just out of warranty. It's looking like it will get replaced. Going to see if it will start in the morning.

This year has been hard on batteries here. The winter took out the one in both trucks out. At least, that's what I'm blaming it on.

drove her into work. its much nicer parking a ranger in the small spots at work than trying to stuff a full size next to two other full size trucks. and the five speed is fun to drive

Well... Bird Dog 1 is a no crank/no start victim this morning. Looks like I'm battery shopping today. I pulled the receipt from my last battery and it was purchased by my wife just before Christmas 2019. So... three year warranty expired a month or two ago. It amazes me how closely the battery manufactures have it dialed in. The last three aftermarket batteries I've had to replace were literally within weeks of the warranty expiring. The one I replaced in the Edge was only 3 or 4 days past warranty.

I was thinking I would buy an Optima this time around... according to reviews... even these are a hit or miss anymore. For the price of them... I think one should expect more. I can spend $100 plus dollars less on known junk and have the same results.

I miss the old days...

I’m trying to remember who offers them. I think it is AutoZone or maybe NAPA that sells an AGM battery but it isn’t Optima. The price is about the same and the reviews seem to be better. It’s supposed to fit just fine where as Optima doesn’t have one that is listed as fitting the newer, old Rangers. Might be worth a look.

Man.. I know I'm probably gonna jinx her lol... but my fiance has had the same Napa battery in her focus the whole time she's had it.. 5-6 years at least by this point I think.

The factory original battery in the wife's Escape made it just over 5 years.

You blew it though... be prepared to break out the checkbook.

I think I'm going to try a Blaines Farm and Fleet battery this time around. Three year free replacement... prorated out to 7 years.

It's also the cheapest in town.
