I paid close to 10k for this. I decided to indulge a little

I’m thinking about putting a Bronco II body on it and registering it. It will do 75mph (closer to 90, if I get a tune to remove the speed limiter.)
NJ doesn’t inspect 95 and earlier... that’s good enough for me.throw some body panels and you'll be good. NJ doesn't do anything for historic vehicles right? I can't remember now
That sounds like it was a fun toy. I had a worked Quadzilla (LT500r) that was clocked at 92mph. I had to get rid of it before I killed myself.Once upon a time I had a Yamaha Blast with a 650cc, 6-speed Suzuki engine hacked into it. Had to take your foot off the peg to shift. No clue the speed, but never got to the shift point out of 3rd. Wish I still head it, of course I’m still alive so it may have been a good thing.
Nahhhh. Id kill myself on a bike.Too many tires.

Ahhh. I see where your going. Not enough tires on a bike...
Ahhh. I see where your going.
I bought it for lengthy trail rides. I dont know if id wanna run 100 mi of trail on a 3 wheeler lol.
Easy now....The way this is going you are going to be prius shopping before the day is over...
Eh. To each their own on that. Id rather have something that wont get tottalled by hitting a squirrel. Id rather have nice thick body panels bolted to big steel rails.
Id also rather take my chances with thr steering wheel then having a bomb go off in my face.
but the gearing might be because of the drag the truck produces between its shape and the parasitic stuff like the mirrors, underside, and low pressure area behind the cab when on the highway.
the cars using the 3.0 might have a lower rpm on the highway?
They picked that specific year of impala exactly to prove a point. 58-62 (IIRC) used an "X frame" chassis that offered almost 0 structural intergrity in any kind of offset crash...Where's that video of the '59 Impala VS a newer car..... (The Impala was literally DESTROYED, including the passenger cabin). The newer car, the front end was in rough shape, but the passenger cabin was intact. That video was what they call frontal offset. Essentially a head-on crash, but offside.

That's my 2004 Ford Focus. Equivalent to a frontal offset crash, except that she rear-ended a stopped car. What I want you to notice is that the View attachment 72255
You'll notice that the interior is ENTIRELY intact. That crash was at about 40MPH. We both walked away. Try doing THAT in one of your precious antiques.
Oh, here it is:
The driver of the Impala would likely have been severely injured, and likely lucky to be alive. The driver of the Malibu would have walked away. Why? Not because of airbags, but because the PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF THE MALIBU REMAINED INTACT.
