So much car debt!!!!!

Ill be honest i couldnt imagine driving a ranger, any ranger, more then 100 miles or so anymore. Even my 13 mi drive to work in rusty can be taxing depending on my mood.

The weak people of today...

Time for a Maverick.

You really need to try a good lane keep system. They’re so nice. Honda’s is alright. Hyundai’s is really good. Just tap the wheel every 30 sec or so to keep it activated.
Will it let me sit in the back seat. Text, email, daydream, have sex, eat a full meal, fall asleep ...?

Made my last vehicle payment in May 2013, paid off my Lightning. I've owned my 98 Ranger for 22 years, paid it off decades ago. Last motorcycle I made a payment on is my 2006 M109R, paid it off in 2010. Bought my @008 B-King from a friend in 2017, paid cash for it. Bought my 2007 Mustang in 2019, paid cash for it.

I will never buy another vehicle on a payment plan. PERIOD!!

My better half is older than me but actually prefers all the new bells & whistles, Id rather have the older stuff even if its not practical. Found a 7? 2-door lincoln on a local lot a few weeks back, very tempting. Ive never driven a 460 but I bet it would be fun! She would like a newer escape, I admit that I do like the 2011 escape we bought 2 years ago, Id like to bring this lincoln home, But Id have a better chance of her agreeing to a new bronco. Just came back from the weekly grocery run and I drove through the local ford lot to see if I could find a maverick (Ive yet to see one in person) No maverick but 2 broncos, both 4-door. a white bs and the other one looked lifted, looked like a soft top too. was unde the overhang by the showroom doors. Didnt want to go look at it on foot & have sales staff bug me. A few new generation rangers, the back lot which is usually new vehicle receiving is bare. The lincoln is at a used “sister “ lot across town.

I don't really care about the lane systems, but adaptive cruise is wild on a long trip. As you catch up to traffic, it silently matches the vehicle in front of you until it gets out of the way, then brings the speed right back up to what you'd selected. If nothing else, it takes away a lot of my frustration with people parking in the left lane because I don't manually slow down to wait for them.
It definitely took some getting used to. Feeling the car correct itself, at first, felt like my old Nissan D21 with the sloppy steering finding the groove in the road. I used to try to correct it with the wheel, now I just loosen my grip on the wheel and let it do it's thing. You can set the response to your liking on many of the "assist" nannies. The only feature I don't like and turn off every time I use the Fe, is the auto start/stop feature. It's annoying and slow to respond on the Hyundai.

You can do that in any car on the planet, as long as you're not the driver.

Yes it will, but there’s a good chance you’ll crash.

man, i drove the ranger 700 miles one weekend, about 3 weeks ago. totally fine for long road trips.

i guess since i had to walk a lot when i was younger. i appreciate any wheels, ha ha ha

I didn't mind mine stock. It's just less civilized than I'd like at this point for a long road trip.

i understand. i like driving my titan more on longer trips because its got almost no road noise

Buy it. You wont regret it.

i agree. we had a 70 something Lincoln tonn car we used to pull the ski and scuba boats to the launch, when i was in high school. when not pulling boats, i used it to carry surfboards to topsail or emerald island. you could put 4 or 5 people in each row of seats and all the boards in the trunk. and the ride was smooth.

gas mileage, mmmm not so great. but, if you wanted to go, it went quickly
