i was looking for a cheap shift knob solution. surprise the dealer was cheaper than any aftermarket knob i could find, lacks style, but its a shifter.
i think retail for the knob is like $16.00

The cheapest shift knob I could find out of my 3 local dealers is $22, right now I have some electrical tape on the splines with a deep 16 MM socket pressed on over it for a shift knob, works for me.

i got a shift knob at PepBoys for like 20 bucks... looks nice, doesnt pull off or anything

knock off hurst or b and m shifters look badass. and are way cheap too! i got one of each cuz i couldn't decided!!!!

i got an 8 ball for free, just cant figure out how to mount it

I had an aftermarket one that had a fabric that looked like Carbon Fiber. It started to pull out of the seam and I removed the fabric. I recently covered my custom console with a brown fake leather material from Wal-Mart and took a piece of scrap, some spray adhesive and a few choice words (LOL) and applied the material where the CF was - now it matches my interior . . . :woot:

Someone on here just had a set off drilled out pool balls in every color.

May check the buy/sell forums.

I thought about the pool ball and i have a spare 11 and 10 ball, (red and blue striped for you non pool players), but i was weary to drill it without a drill press. minute and a half epoxy will make anything stick for a good while. The OE one fits tight. i'll post the oe list price from my dealer when i check the receipt. some dealers charge a matrix price where the markups are jacked up for certain dollar amounts. like the stuff under 20 bucks can get jacked up like 120% over cost. crazy you know

I have a cue ball and a 4 ball (solid white and purple) the 4 ball is on my shifter now. I gave them to my dad and told him the tap size and he had them machined for me :) they screw on so I can change between them whenever I want

ive made a couple in my shop class out of aluminum for other people, they came out nice and were free.....should have charged them for em haha. id like to do the 8 ball when i get my new truck which the main requirement will be 5spd.......and runs and looks nice.....:stirthepot:

the updated factory knob was 16.37 list and is kinds plain and ugly, but it fits really tight

Personally I like the factory FX4 shift knob.
