I hope it's smooth sailing right up to delivery day.

He’s getting a Bronco, not a boat. There is no sailing with a Bronco. At least there isn’t supposed to be...

Drive up to the factory and pick 'er up its cheaper thataway...

I don't think ford allows that.. could be wrong but I'm relatively sure I've read people say they wanted to do that with their new ranger because they live down the street and ford forced them to get it from the dealer still.

I know you can do that with the new corvettes, but they charge extra for that....

They let you start them but I think they still have to go thru a dealer.

I don't know about Ford but because of the shortage of truck drivers if your order sits at a rail yard so long and if you cry loud enough CDJR will let the dealer pick it up from there.

The dealer for the Bronco says deliveries are very sproaric. A couple weeks to a couple months from the plant to the dealer.

So far no modules have been populated yet...

How else is the dealer going to be able to ding you with that “delivery and destination” charge if you go pick it up yourself? We can’t have that now can we? It just wouldn’t be proper!

Exactly! Wanting to pick up your own vehicle from the factory is almost... greedy.

I didn’t even pick my ‘15 F150 up from the dealership... I had them deliver it to my house.

That's the way to do it right there.

Funny thing there. The salesman I dealt with for the 2019 did the same thing. It is on his way home and we have been friends for a long time. I really didn't expect him to do that but I wasn't going to tell him no either. I bought my 2011 from him as well when he worked at another dealership. That one, I had to go get.

Looks like it takes a couple days before the modules pop up as active... so two more days of hitting refresh I guess.
