Should we just call it the F140? Bloody "YUUUGE" and heavy too!

The new Rangers are definitely bigger, and not just taller. My 2011 is the 4–door SuperCab with the normal 6' bed. I still have my dad's raggedy 1992 Chevrolet Silverado, regular cab with long bed. I paced off the length of both and my Ranger is about 1-1/2 feet shorter than the Silverado, despite the SuperCab. Tests of the new Rangers note they're only a few inches shorter than an F-150.

My '99 Supercab is 202" long compared to a '19 at 211".

The new Ranger is definitely a little bit longer and wider. Height is close but I think the 2019 wins. Only because I don’t have stock tires. If you factor out the pre-2008 “lift”, definely.

The only gripe have about the new dimensions, is the bed deck height and the height of the side walls. Otherwise, where it fits is nearly the same as my 2011 and drives about the same. Other than reaching for the nonexistent third pedal from time to time, there isn’t really any adjustment or adapting needed.

The new ranger is an actual midsize.

Definitely larger in every way. Except engine displacement.

I like them.

Sure as hell is not nearly as big as our 150 though.....it is closer to the old ranger then it is to being a 140.....110 maybe.

My '85 with a 3" lift and 31's looks a newer Ranger in the eye.

New Ranger is wider on the outside but it doesn't really feel much wider on the inside.

Cab roof and bed rail height is similar but my bed isn't nearly as deep.

Crikey, finally seen a few of the new "Rangers" up close, and there ain't NUTHIN' small or even "mid-range" about it!

Since it's 94% of the way to an F150, gotta ask... what is the PRICE difference??

If you look at actual data... the new Ranger really isn't that much bigger... Except for cargo bed height and cargo volume. Most folks would say that is a good thing.

Data below is for a SuperCab.

For all the new Rangers merits... I don't think I have ever heard anyone compliment the added depth/volume of the bed before.

With the hard bed cover does make carrying my camping gear a little easier with the extra room. Keeps the cab free for the kids

It’s usually something you see in a mini van or an SUV where they typically are the family hauler and you have to haul all their junk to wherever you are going. Cubic inches of space make all the difference. The Super Crew Rangers would fall in to that realm.

Makes the new Ranger multi purpose and perfect kid hauler and still capable of being fun offroad as well. Love mine. Still does meet my needs for hauling home and work projects. Could pull a good size camper. A lot of good in the new Rangers

Compare a 2010 ranger to an 88....

Or a 19 to a gen 1....it's that difference in cab size again.

Somehow they all feel about the same width on the inside.

I haven't sat in a supercab ranger in 15 years so can't really comment on room that way.

Supwecrew isn't long enough for me and car seats.

The new Ranger is definitely more roomy inside compared to the 2011 Super Cab. The 2011 is more aircraft cockpit/cocoon like. It can feel confining at times. The 2019 feels more roomy even if the actual dimensional room isn't that much different. I think it is but I don't have numbers to prove it one way or another.

The center console in the 2019 is a bit confining compared to my 2011, which doesn't have one but the arm rest is less intrusive in the 2019 compared to the 2011. The interior encroaches in some ways and gives in others in both.

The windshield is bigger and allows more outward visibility in the 2019 compared to the 2011 but the side and rear windows are smaller and more visibility limiting in the 2019 compared to the 2011. So, things like that can appear to make an interior more open or confining as well even if they really aren't. The seat height and interior roof clearance is different as well. I think the seat is higher as well as the roof in the 2019. Also, the windshield in the 2019 has a steeper rake compared to the 2011. So, the 2019 could seem more confining because of A pillar position but the dash is more expansive as a result as well.

It really comes to personal perception. I think the 2019 cab is dimensionally larger than the 2011 but execution of the layout may make it appear to not be that way. I'm only basing that on the front seats since there really isn't a way to get an apples to apples comparison for the rear seats between the Supercrew and the Supercab of my two trucks.

I do know the new Rangers have more room in the Supercab compared to the Supercab in the older models. Looking at Johnny O's truck compared to mine, the rear might be tolerable for someone other than a 10 year old or younger like it is in the 2011. I wouldn't put a teenager or an adult in the back of the 2011 unless it was a real short trip somewhere. It serves as extra equipment storage better than extra passenger room.

Rear seat in a 19+ scab looks even more worthless than a 86-11. It's about the same space but now you face ahead... where does a guy put his legs? The bed?

Sitting in the drivers seat the door doesn't seem any farther away from the seat and the console isn't any bigger. Width feels similar. It is wider on the outside and that is probably due to having safety structures inside the doors. The view out the front you see more hood to negate the bigger windshield whick is also more layed back. Side windows are smaller and we won't even bring up the back window.

I want bigger than my '85. Even kinda forgetting to look at the dinky bed (supercrew) the new Ranger didn't really check many boxes. it's like my' 85 but with a F-150 Supercab cab section stuck on it masquerading as a Supercrew.

Not knocking the Ranger, I know you have one. It's just with everybody getting worked up over how HUGE it is... I don't think it is that big.

As somebody who would greatly love a new "yesterday's fullsize"... to me the 19+ Ranger ain't it.

The back window is horrible. Even worse with a bed cap. Good thing I know how to use my side mirrors and there is a back up camera for when you doubt yourself. That back up camera is real handy for hooking up a trailer by yourself.

As far as the bed, I didn't buy it to be a hauler, though it can still do some of that. I bought it to replace a crossover SUV where the four doors and 5 seats were more important than the size of the bed. The increase in cargo space for the famn damily to bring all their $h!t was just a bonus. Body on frame, 4X4 SUVs are not plentiful and I didn't want to pay the price they want for most of the ones that are out there nor did I want to move up to land yacht territory.
