What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

I got my upstream o2 sensor out and replaced it. Wire was too short. Turned out AZ sold me the wrong downstream sensor earlier (long wire) and Rockauto sent me the wrong upstream sensor (short wire) so I just switched them.

I noticed too much negative camber on my front passenger wheel. I'd recently replaced the upper control arm, so I knew I'd done something wrong. Long story short, on my '07 (2wd coil) forward control arm bracket, where the mounting bolt comes out to receive its nut, Ford put a square washer with two adjacent clipped corners and an off center hole. I had it with only one clipped corner on top, but the drivers side had both clipped corners on top. I rotated the washer so that both clipped corners were on top, and that pushed the forward arm outboard, and that restored the camber. I set toe in with the laser and it drives fine.

Gave mine a quick wash yesterday. Much easier to pressure wash the underside while it's still on the trailer. Going to lube it this afternoon and park it in the yard on the trailer. Planning to go camping and wheeling at Gulches with a group from FMC (Fully Mission Capable) in another week.

Still chasing down the rough idle on mine. Tried swapping coil packs today with no effect. Need to figure out a good way to do a balance test.

Fixed the handle for the red truck last night. Ended up being that the clip that holds the rod to the handle came undone so only one side was opening. Was able to adjust the slop out of the other one while I had the tailgate apart.

I dropped the donut spare and aired it up. Then I Fluid Filmed everything I can't get to while it's in, and cranked it back up.

To much for nothing. Changed ball joints, all the tie rods, wheel bearings, rotors, pads, and the axle joints. Threw it on bros alignment rack, set toe to zero, camber and caster are equal side to side and in the green. Damn thing still wants to steer itself. Either the frame or the rear end is tweaked though. Probably going to throw it on his frame machine tomorrow and yank some shit back into place and see what happens.

was going to take the seats out & start on the interior, pulled out the drivers side floor mat and found I have some patching to do before I do much else. I had patched a small spot close by a couple years ago. Picked up some foam tape, its about time to put the cap back on.

You need some Toe in. I usually set the front of the tires at least 1/8" narrower than the rear.

Im not an alignment guy lol. Still shouldnt be trying to steer itself lol.
