What a difference 22 years make

Ah, good clarification. So you moved the goal post after the fact.

Now, here's a thought... If a fact seems absolutely and utterly ludicrous (like the idea that the new Ranger is six whole inches wider than a full size truck), verify it.
Here's another link showing the width for the 2019 Ranger both with and without mirrors.

And it leads to a simple conclusion - the data you posted earlier was incorrectly labelled as not including mirrors.

Simmer down, there. Here're the specs for the 1998 F150 (also from Edmunds): https://www.edmunds.com/ford/f-150/1998/features-specs/

Note: Width WITHOUT mirrors is 79.5 inches. So, the 2019 Ranger is wider with mirrors than the 1998 F150 is without. However, the Ranger is narrower than the F150 when both are measured without mirrors.

You *could* measure from the widest part of the body to the outside edge of the mirror. I'm curious to know how much width the mirrors add to the truck.

It looks like the mirror sticks out about 7” from the wides part of the door skin, but it also looks like the rear fender flare is the widest part of the truck.

that’s on a new ranger. I just realized it’s kinda hard to measure this stuff since there are so many curves, and I don’t think Ted would appreciate me rubbing a square and plumb bob all over his black truck.

We already know how wide the new Ranger is with mirrors. I'd like to know how wide the 1998 F150 is with mirrors. :p

Well mine has GM tow mirrors so I can't help much there.

I can get this measurement today or tomorrow.

What happened to today? I guess you'll get it tomorrow, then. :)
I have to at least wait until it gets back in the driveway. Maybe tomorrow, My pop is in another county working on his "air hopper" thingy

It seems the widest part of My dad's F-150 is at the front fenders. It's hard to get a solid measurement there, So i pulled a soft tape through the windows and "eyeballed" it at about 72" (without Mirrors)

Actually, the widest part on his truck is the outer edge of the mirrors. :p Which is why I had asked how wide it is with mirrors (since the measurement without mirrors we already know).

The measurement we're after is with mirrors.

Pretty please?

Oh. I guess i got lost in what the discussion was actually about. I can get that one too. Just give me a chance. Not really at the top of the priority list ATM.
