So does the escape throttle body work or not? There are about 100 of them at my local pull- a-part so i can get one cheap.

If it's got aluminum heads, that sounds like a 3.8.I have to replace a 3.0 motor in a windstar next week and I've noticed it has aluminum heads....wonder how they flow compared to ranger cast iron heads... might have to pay the core charge out of pocket if they are not damaged and do some measuring!!!
Why not buy a production vehicle in the first place that already has the power you want and engineered by qualified engineers who know what their doing?
The engine does breathe like an old man with emphysema an don't start with the " I have emphysema crap" It's just a metaphor
You're not even that old.As an old person I find this highly offensive!

OK, Boomer.I'm older then every millennial ever created!!!
I see ALOT of escapes at the pull a part.if only a 3.0 dohc escape engine could be swapped in, I have a 2011 escape, gear ratio somewhere near 3.55’s (can’t remember exactly, but its close to that) Anyways, the duratech dohc “escape” engine has really impressed me, it tows good, plenty of power, very reasonable fuel economy. The best thing for a ranger 3.0 is lower gears, get the rpms up as that engine makes its power fairly high in the rpm band. Below 3,000 it just isnt going to have much to offer.
Ok, lets get back on topic. Are there any other factory parts that swap onto the 3.0 tgat are an upgrade? Intake manifolds, heads, exhaust ect? I have a pull a part near me full of escapes, explorers & taurus's.
