Battery operated 1/2 inch Impact

2962P-20 M18 FUEL 1/2 " Mid-Torque Impact Wrench with Pin Detent Bare Tool

anyone have experience with this one... it has 650ft-lbs loosen and 550 ft-lbs tighten. I kind like it because it's smaller and will get into places the big one won't. I think it should do pretty much everything I need... I just don't want regrets that I didn't buy the big torque gun. It's only 30 cheaper then the big gun so it isn't a price thing... it's a smaller thing that I just keep thinking will make it more versatile.

I didn't really see any good fathers days deals on impacts so I will probably just bite the bullet because I don't want to be without...
I think thats the one I have. I’ll check when I get home from work later.

I just made my order... If the mid torque 1/2 impact doesn't cut it I will end up buying the big gun.

I spent way more then I had planned to originally... but my garage sale did really well and didn't even put a dent in my collection of antiques. So I just turned my old junk into brand new tools.... Yay!

I bought cheaper brushed set with a drill... 1/4 impact... hackzall.. and an LED flashlight with two batteries and a charger. This set will go into my restaurant maintenance kit. I won't have to pack and unpack it when I need it. I did buy a rapid charger that does both m18 and m12 batteries... two 5ah batteries with the free vacuum (I sold my old craftsman shop vac with broken wheels in the garage sale) so... I NEEDED it... lol. The mid torque 1/2 impact and I also got a m12 3/8 ratchet with a free 2 ah battery and a m12 multi tool with a free 2 ah battery.

Gonna be like Christmas in June when they tell me my order is ready for pick up. It's a pretty good start to ween me off the air hose and extension cord.

With the points on purchases and the fifty dollars for opening a charge account... I have $100 some dollars in credit and I got another Fathers day gift card for $50 from my oldest daughter plus the $30 card I already have... I'm probably going to buy the band saw next.

The other thing that happened was the neighbor that is buying our house came over and handed me two fairly new Dewalt 18 volt batteries. He said someone stole his impact and his drill was junk and he threw it in the garbage. Lucky me...

Just looked. Mine is model 2663. Don't know where that falls in the mix.

That appears to be the high torque with brushes. I'm sure it's a fine gun and does anything you ask of it.

The reviews on this mid torque were really good... I just like that it's more compact and will get into tighter spots. It's a tad over 2 inches shorter... that could be the difference of even being able to use an impact on something. I'm hoping I don't come across to many nasty jobs that require more then 650 lb-ft of torque to get loose.

I found an old torque multiplier head at work a few weeks back when they use to take the jesus nuts off helicopters... (google it, or just use common sense and imagine what nut on a helicopter would make you pray if it came off...)

Haven't used an impact gun since. They are probably gonna take it away from me soon but dang are torque multiplier adapters awesome! I used it with a bunch of adapters and a 1/4" ratchet to take lug nuts off my truck. :icon_rofl:

I wanna buy my own, I found a few that use a pipe that slides on and off the head so you can make custom adapters (it needs to jam against something which can be tricky) for $200 on amazon... but a tool like that I just don't trust amazon. The snap-on guy looked at me like i was an alien when i described it.

What about using a torque multiplier with a 1" impact?

Could you slow down time?

Maybe even stop the earth from spinning and do reverse rotation? Time travel by torque multiplier?

You don't have very good Snap-On guy then:

They do have a Snap-On price.

Never saw time slow, but saw some 1-1/2" bolts stretched like they were toffee. So, I took the toy away and made them remove the damaged bolts and replace them on their own time with hand tools.

I have so many questions...

I would have bought em some beerz....after they wore it around thier neck for a week.

Nice for pulling apart Rucker Schafer 13 5/8 BOP stuff.

I am getting a lil long in the tooth even if I wasn't broken to be swinging a 16 or 20 pound sledge for 5 hours. I don't even think I could pick one up anymore.

A new gun just came out from Bosch. It's made for 8 or 12 ah batteries. Milwaukee will have to step up a bit.

I can never fully understand what bobby is saying...

Reason 243 you need to get to a round up...

You give out bobby translation guides?! Ok im in...

I always pictured him as the old man at the gas pump in the beginning of 'Deliverance'.

I am that guy that will deliver it.
