Didn't even think they were ford's.... When I realized they were rangers...I about fawked up trying to get pics....

They were not bronco square...but did not look like current trucks either....much bigger headlights...one was wide like my truck.

How does a plain Black Diamond with 32's/4.46's get the same mileage as a Sasquatch with more aggressive 35's and 4.70's?

And the bigger engine gets better?



Me wonders if we overdipped on the gearing... my dumb old F-150 with a V8 has half a ton a Bronco per their little chart thing and gets about the same mileage as what our Bronco will be rated.

The Global Ranger platform is due for a design change in 2022.

Not that I would buy a Bronco for fuel economy... but my 06 4.0L auto does the same.

I would have thought they would have set their sights a tad higher honestly.

I still want one... but if they don't come with a Bronco pick up... I may never leave the seat of a Ranger.

The thing that scares me the most is that "ratings" are usually on the optimistic side...

SAS getting the same mileage as a nonSAS is baffling enough I kinda question the accuracy of the whole thing. Same for Base/BB and OBX getting 4mpg better than a BD highway. OBX has the same size tires as our BD but with 3.73 gears as opposed to 4.46... which pretty much confirms that fear I have had about that.

The plastic lower part on mine is already no good, It's being held on with screws until I replace it. Just want to replace the entire bumper as it has a big dent in it, thanks to my sister. Also need to replace the part between the lights, as it has two cracks.

My 2016 Expeditiom got better MPG than that. I miss it. The ultimate family and vacation vehicle.

Just checked, advanced 4wd kicks OBX to 4.27 so not much improvement.

Might have to go to 33's "for mileage"
