Random junkyard finds

I forgot to look specifically at the cab corners. Just not used to doing that. I noticed a few small rust areas somewhere in the cab. I think a front corner was slightly dented. Overall, a very useable cab. I almost grabbed the mirrors. But finally realized the passenger door is gone.

Also, those 14" Alcoas in the first picture are in nice shape if anybody wants them. Canter caps are rough. Though I did tell a guy about the Alcoa while he was getting some steel 14" wheels from another Ranger to use on his utility trailer. But I could go back on Friday if somebody wants those wheels or any parts off the 2.9l in the 86.

If you have a cordless sawzall and are game, I would be interested in the cab corners if they are nice, I can get you more info for what I need exactly

Ok.

Junkyards often contain junk.

You sir just may have a date. Where the hell do you live again?

Shh. Adults are talking.
Wellford, sc. Northwest part of the state, between Greenville and Spartanburg. Looks like a bare frame is $400.00. I have 2 LKQ's nearby - Greer and Greenville. Inventory is online.

my cab corners are getting bad, didn’t realize how much, some tapping with a small pry bar revealed how much. Found some weld-on corners through ebay, might order them before spring. for now I just cleaned, sprayed some extend in the cavity , covered up with metal furnace tape & hit it with silver paint to match the lower body. from 15 ft away its hardly noticeable. Wish I had a better junkyard around here, Id build a truck. Frame here/cab there/ect. Make a true “johnny cash special”.

It’s overrated.

I went to do my V8 swap years ago and grabbed the cab corner with the door open... and my thumb went thru it. The door hides for now... but I know it’s there.
