What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Cleaned Dog noseprints off the windows and dusted the dash so I have a clean looking view for the drive this week.

... it read low, real low- 200 rpm at idle. ...

That's exactly the way mine reacted after putting the 4.0 in with the factory resistor on the tach wire. Got rid of it, and it seems normal now.

Oops. Forgot to do that. Oh well. Leaving in about 2 minutes. The nose prints are only on the back seat window.

That is how my 150 is too. The side windows of my ranger get boops and then awesome smells come in the back window... so the front window of the topper gets boops too.

Our 8.8 is out for a gear ratio change(4.30 to 4.88) and a disc brake conversion. Just one of many upgrades coming for the 2021 season.

No. Somebody else blew the seal. The floor jack just leaked.

New tires today for the first time in the 20 years I have had the truck. Also got it somewhat packed topped off the bug juice and checked the oil before it is wagons east tomorrow.

In the future, if you're ever traveling this direction and need a place to stay, Fisherman's Corner Campground by the Army Corps of Engineers in East Moline is a great little campground. Only about a mile and a half south of I80.

Still working on getting interior fixed up got drivers floor panel wire wheeled, rust converted and sprayed with bedliner up the fire wall patched all five pencil sized rust holes in the firewall. Prepped the kick panel in preparation for the new used parking brake pedal assembly, that is almost removed from doner truck but I forgot my hex driver cuz I'm an idiot lol. Removed all the wire nuts from under the hood on the ignition system, and headlights 20 of them in total, Mindblowing ineptitude. Wires al re routed and reattached. Than I moved on to the dash side wiring. Removed 12 crimp wire taps, taped all insulation breakes, spliced new wire into blower motor power wire 2 inches of bare high amp wire didnt seem safe idk why just a feeling lol. Installed better throttle cable old one was worn out would have to move throttle half way before any response than only half a pedal of throttle was available after that. Now I have full throttle yay. Replaced ignition switch with a good one, now you actually need a key lol.

loaded a bunch of camping stuff into it and mounted my flag/ pennant pole to a bed stake hole.

Ready for the trail ride...

Got the step bars yesterday and mounted them this morning.

Didnt get much done between taking the wife shopping, and the thunder showers. Not having a covered area to work sucks sometimes. But I got the e brake assembly cleaned and installed, got the dash side wiring harness out of doner 83 so I could more easily rebuild the hacked harness of my new 83. Pulled fuse panel from 85 as its mostly intact a couple of cracks that need gluing, but nothing is falling off and mounting ears are still good. I thought about buying a new aftermarket fuse box or installing a modern one from something in the junk yard but I wanted to use a stock one in the stock location.
