It'll be a bit chilly at night.

I had trade the dog back to my ex for this week. Might need to find a woman to warm my sleeping bag.

I think my plan is to leave here Thursday and travel to Illinois, get a room, and then be there by 2pm Friday. This way I can hang out with you guys and not wear myself out driving 15 hours, getting a crappy night sleep, and then wheeling all day.

We are leaving here Thursday night after work, hoping to get to Albia on the other side of Des Moines like last year for Thursday night, and then meet Eric and Uncle Gum in Illionis and convoy to the campground. Might hit a Route 66 museum along the way depending on how things play out.

I've done Route 66 from California to Texas. Still need to do it from Texas to Chicago.

The weather looks perfect if you ask me... way better then 90's and humid.

Mowed the lawn and got the Ranger on the trailer this morning. I'll strap it down right before leaving. Not sure if I have any troublemaking teens with knives around here who might cut the straps in the middle of the night.
