GREAT NEWS GUYS

Yes. The Bravada is an Oldsmobile but still based off the S series platform. Slightly different interior and different nose on them but the rest was the same as the GMC Jimmy / Chevy Blazer.

EDIT: there was another difference in the one I built, It was AWD and not 4WD making the transfer cases an issue at higher mileage due to being chain driven. The chain would stretch and when you let off the throttle it would slap around in the case and make the vehicle jerk as it was slowing down. This one got a reman'd transfer case installed.

I worked at GM engineering during that period... all of the S/T platform was part of my responsibility. There was also talks about badging it as a SAAB. But that didn't come out until 2005 on the 360 platform.

So every complaint about S-10s are your fault?

My aunts Bravada did that. They got stuck at a restaurant in Omaha because the tcase bound up and they couldn’t back out of their parking spot.

All of them... seems my 37 layers of GM management thought so too. Amazingly... we all retained our jobs.

My direct GM manager drove a K truck... but I did build him a dune buggy. I drove Rangers daily... after the bailout... they made all non GM vehicles park way... and I mean wwwaaayyyyy out back and walk in. I still chose to walk.

Just tell 'em you're doing research. You're researching the competition so you can make your own product that much better;)

They sure didn't price these packages to sell...

Thus why I'm doing the piece meal thing when the time comes. Just like I'm doing with the 2011. I may spend just as much or more since there won't be a volume discount but I can take manageable bites without breaking the bank or financing it.

Next gen Dakota is available with a hemi in two wheel drive or all-wheel drive and manual transmission.

Maybe if ya can't beat em.... you should just join em

Maybe you should just listen to gump
