the gm's are a train wreck with the adjustable to no load crap pcm controls...

my work rig is haunted...

My 2008 silverado can't pass emissions due to a fuel pressure and misfire issue caused by a bad tpms module.

I miss megasquirt.

Do you have anything that can pass inspection???

Oh, and to the rest of you f*cks with the Chrysler and fire jokes.

Dodge guys know our vehicles are evil. A Chrysler product will try to kill you at least once. We accept this.

Drive a Viper. Especially 2006+ when srt got its shit together. Tell me it doesn't want you ****ing kill you.

SRT Challenger is comfortableish power. It's heavy. But it's ****ing hateful heavy. It's happy to slumber along. Press sport, feel suspension convert to monotube, and remember it likes 3500-5200, 5600 it gets pissed.

You accept this and realize that at 105+ that 4200 lbs lifts and breaks three tires off when you run rt 28s Clarion to Pittsburgh, make two is it safe passes, wait for it, and hill climb.

It hates me. Its a good kind of hate.

Give a room full of potatoes wire cutters and crimp connects and set loose on fleet. Soak in WV salt for five years, don't wash, store for 7, I buy.

Oh. @bobbywalter ,they were geosteering trucks. Please explain the levels of hell a vehicle like that goes through.

In WV.

2006-2013.

You may remember them. Gearhart 800s, a old assed monster McCullough, weird little quick rig.

Anyway.

That's my fleet.

Have two of em on their feet. My 2011 purchase was taking one for the tem for a runner/commuter. Because I don't trust the gmcs.

Engines is goes vroom

the newer post 2010 vipers seem friendlier to me then the first units (13 or 14?)....the traction stuff on of course.

those things are brutal.

the victory field in wv is an absolute rig killer. theres roads there i dont like driving my ranger down let alone a wire line rig.

And now you know why my f350, gmc, and silverado are lucky to be alive.

Well.

Sorta.

So was fire required or not?
Hey now.

They name their products appropriately. Demon, hellcat, hellephant... even ram is satanic in nature.

Heck, GM even tried to build the "exorcist," and I have yet to see one that a demon doesn't kill without issue.

Holy water will just piss it off.

Sacrifice a goat to Baal, build a mighty pyre, and give the hellspawn that walks out of the blaze whatever artifact it asks for.

Your jeep will be fixed.

First thing I suggested. It's FCA. They're evil. It's OK.

It's funny. We build the hydraulic steering gear for the Hellcat at work.

I was actually one of the engineers that help launch it.

I remember when they told us what it was going to be called. I was "what the hell??" Lol.

All the challenger/chargers have gone to electric steering to my knowledge other than a few special charger/challenger models.

Trying to understand a Chrysler wiring diagram is like delving into the mind of a madman...

If i followed this crap right, the PCM does in fact control the alternator output through diodes in the PCM. Why? No one will ever know. What Im seeing in this chaotic hellscape is those diodes in the PCM are bad.

So my initial thoughts were correct, alternator overcharging constantly caused things to fry (including the ground wire pin on the pcm which had some heat discoloration i attributed to arcing from being loose but im now thinking it became loose from the heat).

The ASF relay issue is fixed from fixing the ground pin but it went back to overcharging this morning. I have zero idea how to do a PCM on a chrysler. I've worked with ford PATS and HEC clusters, and chevy VATS but dunno about chyrsler. It must have security so there's obviously going to be more than just plugging in a new PCM.
