I have been having some weird intermittent back pain for a few months and decided to get it checked out...

She asked me if I had ever been beat up by a girl before... and then proceeded to contort me into a pretzel and jump on top of me. (not in *that* way you pervs)

I don't know what kind of dark voodoo magic she used, but it made a difference.

I still have the pains, but dang I can turn my neck and I walk much better now

Did you scream her name?

I think they make minor adjustments so you keep having to go back for more adjustments.

At least that's my opinion on how they work.

I've thought about going to one. I have bad back pain all the time but I can usually fix it temporarily by laying on the floor and telling the kids to jump on my back. 5 minutes of that and alot of cracking later I feel better for a couple days. I assumed that's about the same as what a chiropractor does and kids are free... :dunno:

Kids are free ROFL :icon_rofl:

It has only just begun Papa 85... just saying

I've been going to one off and on for a while. No miracles, but slow steady improvement.

I see a Chiropractor fairly regularly. Since I have to crawl through aircraft fuel tanks, twisting and contorting to get through the structure in the process. With that and not being able to use proper lifting methods, I have back issues fairly regularly. Heating pads and certain twisting moves helps minimize the needed trips but there are things a Chiropractor can do that you can't and it normally doesn't require popping any pills to get better.

I've used the same chiropractor since 1988. after my first visit I had to adjust the mirror on my truck to see out the back because I'd been standing with my neck tipped forward and my head twisted so I could see ahead and he straightened it out. I'd had a tension headache every day for years and blamed it on my job, he stopped them like throwing a switch. Your back doesn't go out of place, some of the joints seize up which forces the neighboring joints to flex too much, the chiropractor breaks the frozen joints loose. Some are quacks that want you back every week, some are legit. On my first visit he gave me a pamphlet and circled the exercises he wanted me to do, when I balked he said "you don't have to do them, you can come here and pay me instead".That convinced me, my reply when asked if a customer really needed to change his oil that often was you don't have to change it at all, we sell engines, too.

I like that one. :icon_rofl:

I agree, a good chiropractor will rarely try to schedule follow on appointments. The two I have used over the years never did.

The seizing of the joints is the issue I have. I could even feel the difference between tthe two sides when she pushed down on one and then the other. the right side moved a lot more than the left. she even had a model of a spine and pelvic bones to show exactly what was going on.

As for follow ups, since this has likely been working up to this point for over a year, she said it would probably take a few followups to get everything free again. When she popped my neck it made a huge difference in how I can turn around just to look out the back window of the car when backing up. these joints all start seizing gradually, you don't notice until you get snapped back into place.

My issues are discs slipping to the most part. Occasionally a joint will lock up as a result but by that point, I'm typically "furniture crawling" and that is not a common thing for me.

They are when they aren't yours! :icon_rofl:

Not really. Part of my income taxes each year are paying for the (flawed) education system. I have no children.

What kind of aircraft if you don't mind my asking?
