PayPal woes

I don't trust PayPal but use it all the time. I will not give PayPal my bank account number. They only have my credit card number and if I have a problem I work with my credit card company to get it resolved, which has happened a few times. After I had a PayPal account for a short time, they informed me they wanted my bank account number or they would have to cancel my account. I told them to go ahead and cancel my account. I never heard from them again about it, but continued to use PayPal.

I also don't have a high level of trust in PP.

I have it linked to a bank account, but it is a secondary account that never has any money in it unless I go put it there for something specific.

I've had my paypal account for probably 15 years, and I haven't had any notable problems that I can think of.

That's true Jim, I believe the problems generally originate from outside paypal itself but once one develops and we need them to step up to the plate, it becomes very difficult
I became acquainted with Paypal when they still belonged to Ebay and it was a nightmare then also when problems developed

I looked into paypal when I was selling my 11 Ranger and a potential buyer wanted to use it to pay. If you don't give them a credit card they will pay you buy check- 6 to 12 weeks after the buyer says they got the item! I googled paypal and came up with a lot of cases where people didn't get paid, sometimes because the seller complained or claimed not to have received the item and a lot of people never got the items they were charged for. There is a website titled paypalsucks. I wouldn't give them access to my bank account on a bet.

I think with all internet paying services, there is risk involved. Not like the old days where a mans word was worth something and you could look them in the eye and shake their hand after the deal is done.

that sounds like something J. R. would have said

That never ended poorly.

I posted some things on Craigslist 6 or 8 years ago and insisted only pick-up w/ cash or a USPS money order

I thought Fastpakr's truck was on the road. doesn't matter, I suppose, mine hasn't moved in almost 2 years. Time flies when your preoccupied.

It was, then I lost oil pressure and had to pull the engine again. Supposed to be getting a low mileage engine this afternoon to throw in.
