See the first gen BII?

Just barely.

Damnit i thought it was an unveiling.

That late 70s freewheelin though....

Tightest project by far

...why am I excited by this?

Oh yeah. Because the re-launch of the Cherokee was a monument built out of equal parts compromise and human filth.

Stuffed shirt bastards at Fiat and Mercedes killed off the only good mid sized Jeep, and only serious contender against the rest of the mid sized suv market. Had two of them; miss one of them like hell.

F*CK YOU JEEP!

Yeah. I'm excited about this.

Please don't be a grocery getter...

It's virtually guaranteed to be a soccer mom grocery getter... IFS/IRS, no lockers, we know it's not a solid front axle, watered down bullshit. In other words, NOTHING like ANY original Bronco in the history of Ford.

You sure?

They intend to go head to head with the wrangler, thats been the goal since day 1. I doubt its gonna be just a rebadged explorer.

It would REALLY surprise me. Let's just hope they didn't follow the route they took with the new Ranger rear axle..

Knowing Ford, they'll add an extra inch of travel to the IFS/IRS and call it Baja inspired long travel race suspension.

They could have went head to head with the Wrangler using the Ranger. They already made it so damn expensive, why not go the extra mile..

I wish they shorten it, make it blocky, put in two solid axles and a coyote.

Here it is, top secret so don't tell anyone...

I'm staying optimistic with this. Makes me wish I was still in the know at Ford. They have done a great job keeping this one under wraps... building the hype... they had better deliver.

I talked with the wife on a long drive home to Chicago from Northern Michigan today... and one of these is probably gonna be my personal last new vehicle purchase if they do deliver.
