Automotive technology you miss.

Or the truth that they would both get spanked by a fiesta... :icon_rofl:
Ill put my 460 against it.

Race to the nearest gas station....and go! lol

I miss the jump seats in a super cab where they point towards the center of the vehicle, sure you had to hope your friend in the other jump seat with his legs crossed between yours wasn't gay but it was still not too uncomfortable and was manageable....( not that I hate the lgbt community as long as they stay in California ) I just wish the new ranger for America had center facing jump seats that were obviously larger than the 3rd gens so that way you could still fit two people in the back of a 2019 super cab and be comfortable.....I wouldn't mind a 2019 crew cab ranger, tan interior, tape deck since they're not dead to me, and repainted in the same rare paint code mine has.?‍♂️ I am strong republican but as long as you don't shit on my beliefs I could care less if you go off to Narnia and fornicate with unicorns. I was always told two things you don't talk about in public are religion and politics....I go by that unless there is some dumbass with their head up their ass or I like starting shit. = )

I looked on google for videos of stock 2.9's racing or doing anything "fast" and I found one video of a 2.9 doing a burnout..... He had to start in the loose dirt on the side of the road and then it left skid marks on the road.... Couldn't find anything else.... Why aren't their videos of these "badass, fast as shit, faster than yours" 2.9's if they were so badass like you 2 say they are. I still say my 3.0 will spank it and I don't have much done to mine... Take off sucks but everyone knows the 3.0 is happier above 3000rpm. If any 2.9's are ever in north central Ohio (Mansfield area) then hit me up. I drive mine everyday so I'll meet ya! I'm gonna find a flat piece of road and get a stop watch and time how long it takes to get to 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 mph. There's plenty of flat ground around here.

I agree....when I had to pass this girl doing 35 in a 45 to keep a old lady from eating my bumper Old Green just magically came to life....guess she warmed up...and was a lot peppier afterwards....this all relates to one thing.....I don't see many vids or rangers in general with a 2.9 in Florida so I feel this 2.9 stuff is just hype....also 3.0 rangers come to life when you just floor it.....so anyone in Florida with a 2.9 ranger come to Eustis and try to race me to settle this supposed bet of what engine is faster....just wish trucks were as simple to work on like a 98 with a 3.0 or something before y2k, because you look at these newer trucks and something as simple as a radio swap in a 17 f150 is like pulling teeth from a gator who accidentally ate a drug smugglers bag of cocaine ....

Pacificgreen1998, you should check and make sure you throttle cable is not stretched out. Have a friend push the pedal to the floor and see how open the throttle is. Mine needed a few zip ties on the end of the cable to make it open like it should. Before I did that my throttle was only opening about 3/4 way. Now it has better throttle response and will open fully. It's really easy to fix too. Just get a couple zip ties and tighten them t about 3/4" loop and lift up on the gas pedal and start adding zip ties to the end of the cable. This will help the cable as the cable gets stretched out. I think I put 3-4 on mine but they were the small zip ties.

Yes... not because of the "Who slow truck is faster" argument, because I like Ranger videos.
That red one without the box impressed me. He was in 3rd scorchin them like that.

In real life the best Ranger burnout/brakestand I have seen was done with a 3.0 by a classmate back in high school. Not because it was the best or whatever but he had a severe case of "don't care" if something happened to it. He had a bed on it too.

Push come to shove IMO a brake stand doesn't prove much... especially with a nose heavy pickup.

In my younger days, I'm pretty sure I could have lifted the rear of the bedless Ranger off of the ground by myself so the burnout itself isn't that impressive to me. The fact that the 2.9 held together and didn't overheat or sling oil everywhere is pretty awesome though. :ROFLMAO:

The 2.9 is fine with abuse as long as it dont get hot.

But, internal combustion engines produce heat. It's kinda their thing...

That's like saying my engine works great as long as you don't start it. :icon_rofl:

Without a bed they'll do burnouts forever, very easily. I've done it with multiple Rangers. I've had the beds off all of my Rangers over the years.

Nope, still not impressed. Truck better be able to do a burnout without a 500 pound bed.... The first one only shows the gauge so he could be going downhill for all I know. Sketchy 5th wheel could be done by anything. I watched that complete video and more than likely the camper is gutted based on the amount of dead campers in his graveyard, oops I mean yard.. Small 5th wheels like that don't have much tongue weight either (400 pound harbor freight straps aren't breaking from this so it can't be that heavy)… Then the last truck couldn't even make it up a 5 foot hill with it pegged.... So, yes, you need to find something that will impress me.
