Code b1318

I've recently started having a stumble between gears things I have replaced are cam sync, coil, plug, wires, idle air sensor, tps. I had my truck scanned yesterday and it pulled a b1318 code. I replaced the battery yesterday. I plan to check my outgoing voltage on my alternator after work. I looked up the code b1318 and it's low voltage to the gem. My question is on a 01 ranger base model if I get a new gem will I have to have it reset at the dealership and if my out going voltage at the alternator is good then it would lead to the gem? I'm decent at trouble shooting electrical I'm a plumber lol

You need to load test all power inputs to the GEM before you condemn the module.

Forgive me for ignorance on this one. How would one go about the load test on said module?

Found my issue turns out a speed sensor will cause a slight limp mode. Unplugged the sensor and she runs like a top again!
