Thats a pretty clean explorer. 300k is alot of miles through. Probably a decent deal if you could get him down under a grand.

Back in a RBV.
1999 5.0 Mountaineer with 145k. 2 owners whom were related. Came with the manuals and window sticker. Got it for under $1000 since the tcase was bad. After driving it, sounds more like a wheel bearing or bad CV. It does have Ohio rust. Nothing I wasnt going to cut out anyways. Guy just put $1600 into it. New starter, alternator, tuneup, brakes, stainless exhaust and rear tires. Will start a new thread once the YJ is gone and I get some tons.
