we are trying to stay with a one word theme until everyone's memory is exhausted.

Words like "at" "a" "The" "an" "of" and similar are specifically disallowed

the artist band name is excluded

Basically the game is a LOT more "fun" if people don't keep interjecting words that are just WAY too easy, or CHEATING by using another song by the same band.

IT seems we've switched to "that" as a word because "good" was running dry....

but "the" just isn't going to fly.

also Word changes should be announced.

BTW, if you cannot come up with the current word let others "play through" it usually doesn't take long to "burn out" a word.

Ummm... at the risk of getting jumped all over-none of those rules are in the first post, by the person that started this. While I think sticking with a certain word is fun, if someone wants to throw another one in you should just consider it that much more fun to try and get it back to the word you want. By the way, according to the "original" rules, you can use words in the singer's names also. And on that note...

I agree with your other post...we were using the artist's name or whatever as long as one word matched...I don't mind either way, actually...it's just a game...but I think we've broken the 'no repeat' rule in the original post too...I may be guilty of that myself...without someone listing all the songs that have been used and someone actually deleting posts that violate the rules it's difficult to say though...

Hmmm...maybe someone could make a list...I would offer that but we're looking at quite a few posts to go through...even though I have too much time on my hands I don't have THAT kind of time...

No it isn't in the original rules but with the original rules it was BORING and
everyone was loosing interest because using the conjunction words
(if, And, but, it,a, an, etc) made it too easy.

Ditto for using the band name or simply switching to another song by the same band.

So I suggested that we CHANGE the rules and the results speak for themselves...

It's like the difference between Checkers and chess.
