Well..........the truck was running a little rich and idling a little rough for the last month........

THEN..................

BOOM....SOUND OF A SHOTGUN GOING OFF....FLASH OF FIRE......COLUMN OF SMOKE!

No......it's not serious....the carb powervalve must have been slightly stuck open for the last month......the engine backfired and blew the Holley Powervalve to smithereens!

Now it's puffing smoke while idling....screams like a dragster at full throttle though----------since gas is pouring straight into the intake manifold....went from 21 mpg down to 11 mpg......black snot dripping out of mufflers onto nice concrete driveway..........

Time to remove the bad powervalve and screw a plug into the opening.....the engine has enough power as it is!!!!!!

I hate it when that happens. you'll want to replace the power valve with another one though or you will go too lean if you ever need to mash the pedal.

I have a powervalve delete....yeah-I know-don't do it....I'ma do it anyway!

Good news/Bad news.

Bad news first....I gave up some power when passing when I deleted the power valve----but it's still got plenty of ummpppphhhh!

Good news.....the needle on the gas gauge quit moving...and the gauge still works!

I'm srtill waitin' for the gloabl warming to put an end to the ice age we're havin' up here, so I can get back to the new BII.

It was so cold this week that when I picked up the end of the tarp to have a look, it broke

They're forecasting temps in the 50's by the end of next week!!!! Holy cow!

I wonder how long it'll take the glacier that's formed over my truck to melt...

I crawled into the ice cave today. She's still in there like a frozen mammoth. It'll take a day to figure out where I left off.
