Well... I'm SUPPOSE to go on fri. I'll post some pics and maybe a video or two. Maybe that will change some minds.
 
yeah from sac its a trek. Im like an hour and a half away and I live in oakland... plus my truck isnt doing so hot right now. I have to keep driving to a minimum till I can get a second vehicle.
 
I think you and Wes would be about the only ones able to make it through though...

You do know that you have pretty much the same suspention as us right? minus the dana 60 and the 63's.

Suspension wise, but you have a doubler, and wes has an auto+V8. I have no doubler or hp. Not to mention baby tires.

Edit: and no lockers.
 
All minor things. 4.0 has plenty of power. I'm only runin 4:10 gears with 35" tires and wes's ranga is stuck in a grauge behind barbies jeep... I think that your truck will do good. As long as you can drive.

How far below your frame rails does your drive train hang with the 5.0? The 4.0's don't hang at all and my tcases are turned so they don't hang either. I like that its that way and was wondering if I did the motor swap, what kind of difference its would make. (besides the vroom vroom factor)

Also... Ever think about a meet and great at Hollister hills. Would be awesome! And I would be able to make it.

not that far the cats hang down lower than the drivetrain. but i also have a clocked np 205. i rotated it till it hit the floor. with the old awd t case it didnt drop below the frame rails at all. the swap is rad if you dont have smog laws. i will get pics of the drive train tomorrow.

hollister sound fun. lets get it on the map. is there any camping out there. it would make a fun weekend. i just have to trailer down there.
 
If we do it after the mid of December I can make it. I'm headed to Kansas for a month. When I get back I plan on rebuilding my rear end and possibly installing a air locker just for this run!

If I went I would probably want to camp too Wes, and we could have a trailer convoy going.
Now if I could just get a transfer case by then, I would most likely be able to get my dad and his ranger down too...

Lol no guarantees though. This is aiming I can get my truck home for christmas and/or find a freaking 1354m by then... if I could do both, even better!

What did the 1354m come in?
 
Like what am I looking for one in, or what is it going to go in?
They came in different types of rangers and broncoII's I believe, and its going into my dads new Ranger

Truck needs some work overall, but it was a smokin deal.
