Register in a smog exempt county?

Edit: Nevermind, We're not talking about smog.

Jester might be on to something. We're talking about the ranger right? Was it smoged and registered a couple years ago with the original engine in it? I don't know anything about the smog laws where your at but I know that in amador county (were all my vehicals are registered) you only have to smog your vehical when it changes ownership. The loop hole on that is saying it was a gift from a relative. if its a gift from a family member then you don't have to smog it. WHATS UP BROTHER! wanta give me your ranger? lol none of this matters if it is determind gross polluter. I have never smoged my truck.

yall are so lucky.. when i lived in humboldt nobody gave a **** about smog cause it was the same deal, only smogged when the truck changes hands. had that been the case when my motor blew, it would also have a 5.0 not another 3.0..

finally got rear shock mounts done, drives amazing. threw in some newish bilsteins i got for cheap, came off an f150 and i can tell theyre stiffer but it handles great. got the chance to thrash the new rear end a bit.

hey wes, if you change your address on your registration to tahoe city, you only have to smog at transfer of sale. its not that far from you. just get a PO box up there and you are set. the only shitty thing is if you get a ticket or anything it will get sent there...

my ranger only has to get smogged at transfer of title since its still registered in mendocino, but I need to change it since the registration renewal forms and stuff all get sent to my old house hahahaha.

or what about taking the case off a newer ECU and putting it on yours or take the stickers off and slap it on yours.

I baught a 99 to 01 5.0 ecu off ebay for $20 I'm going to swap the main plug because that's where the part number is.

I'm going boarding for the first time in 2 years tomorrow. I'm going to hit up squaw valley never been there super stoked even thought the snow is going to be shit
